Most Intense Origin Players

1. Buderas - I'd say most players can be philisophical about losing and joke about it at some point. I don't think Buderas can though. He just wouldn't have any sense of humour about it at all. After the game he was sitting down shaking his head like Qld hadn't actually won. I think he was in some kind of denial. At one point I thought he was going to get up and claim the trophy like Zoolander did when he lost to Hansel. He just burns to win.

2. Dallas Johnson - Crazed Maniac.

3. Lockyer - Surprising choice I know, but last night he had a look on his face like his whole career was on the line. I've never seen him want to win so badly.

Obviously it's Origin and everyone is pumped up, but those 3 stood out for me last night. Who else do you think stands out with their intensity?

yep Dallas Johnson, just rewatched origin 2 for the fun of it, and man during the national anthem his face just said it all. freakin micky hancock x 10. he was ready to rip people to shreds.

Brent Tate was pretty damn intense too, as was Nate Myles i reckon.

I thought the same looking at him during the anthem. He looked nuts. Just also on the anthem, does anyone else think its the best indication of how each team will play? I wish we could go through the last 25 years and measure the crazyness of player facial expressions during every anthem. I guarantee there would be a massive correlation between psyconess and success.

Lockyer and buderus are perfect choices for captians, they are the most intense, passionate origin players on the park.

Just look at Big Mal's eyes in most games he played ... he is something else.

Myles throughout the whole series has grown a third and fourth leg. If he played that well at the Dogs it would be astonishing.

I thought he was the only QLDer to stand up to NSW's origin 1 first half onslaught

Agree also on Buderus last night, when he came back on from his rest he was bloody shouting and screaming, full of beans

Your 100% right mate, i clearly remember that look also

and on a similar theme, O'Meley and Hindmarsh cracking jokes during the national anthem for Game 2 ... writing was on the wall

I reckon its interesting watching their faces during the national anthem, and I also like to observe how they are going when the siren rings at half time and full time

not sure about others, but despite being able to understand how many of the players from opposing teams know each other well from rep teams etc ... it irks me no end when you see them go at it for 80 mins and then as soon as the siren rings, they are best mates ... I hate the opposition with a passion, and I want my team to hate them also lol

Oink !

After the game they should of put each other in headlocks and see who had the power to push the other on the turf.
