I love songs with intensity..especially the ones that build up to some sort of an emotional crescendo..what in your opinions in the most intense song? (or favourite intense song)?

Strapping Young Lad - "Centipede"
Strapping Young Lad - "Detox"

They don't really reach a crescendo, but they're intense from start to finish. Also, DevilDriver's "Head On To Heartavhe (Let Them Rot)" is intense.

Haha, I was going to say Strapping Young Lad - Oh My f**king God!!

Detox is one of the greatest metal tracks of all time by the way.

As for an emotional crescendo, Devin Townsend's Tiny Tears is hard to beat. I'd just list all Dev tracks - nobody does emotion like Devin does emotion.

For emotional crescendo i love the Gunners Sweet Child o Mine and November Rain.
Theyre definately not intense from start to finish but both songs are perfect when it comes to emotional climaxes. Theyre two of the greatest examples I know of modernism and postmodernism pitted against each other. Side by side this emphasises their respective climaxes.

mmmmmmm yes Devi metal \m/ Detox is certainly a classic.

I'd nominate Submission and Goodbye Tonight by Sunk Loto for the emotional crescendo factor.

Edit: Yes November Rain is tops flamin!
