Well...two albums I love but are disqualified are Vitalogy by Pearl Jam (that rubbish at the end ruins a great album) and OK Computer by Radiohead (Fitter, Happier is just filler really).

I would rate:

XO - Elliott Smith
The Bends, Hail To The Thief - Radiohead
Relationship Of Command - At The Drive-In
Interiors - Brad (Stone Gossard's other band)
A Rush of Blood to the Head - Coldplay (I know it's been flogged to death but it really is a good album)
Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia - Dandy Warhols
Bring It On - Gomez
Fight For Your Mind - Ben Harper
Sunrise Over Sea - John Butler Trio
Doolittle - Pixies
O - Damien Rice *
Achtung Baby - U2
Yankee Hotel Foxtrot - Wilco *
Hi-Fi Way - You Am I

(albums marked * are initially really hard to listen to in full, but when you do you will be thoroughly rewarded)

definitely pay the coldplay album, oasis and live as well. How could i forget throwing bloody copper!

Not sure about Hail to the Thief Alex, i mean...its great but you really have to be in a mood to enjoy it.

Anyone for Tool-Anemia or Black-Metallica? Sad but True almost disqualifies it though

I think you have to be "in the mood" for just about any Radiohead disc - probably bar The Bends...HTTT is far more listenable than Kid A or Amnesiac.

I've loved that Coldplay album for a long time now - every bloody soundtrack and television station seems to be using parts of it these days which kinda bores me. But the thing as a whole is brilliant - was probably my 2nd favourite album of 2003...

Right behind O - a brilliant album, but you have to be in the mood and you have to listen carefully to really appreciate it. Shame he didn't bring the whole gang out for his shows here last year.

albums I can listen to anytime, never skip a song and never get tired of

Carol King - Tapastry
VAST - VAST (have to agree with EA sometimes I guess)
Janes Addiction - nothings shocking
Bowie - ziggy stardust
Counting Crows - August and everything after
The Cruel Sea - the honeymoon is over
Bernie Hayes - every tuesday sometimes sunday
sublime - best of (cheating I know)
Red Hot Chili Peppers - BSSM (mothers milk comes close)
Nine Inch Nails - Broken

thats about it - theres a lot of others I love (some even that I'd say I like more) but they miss out 'cause I either have to be in a certain mood or else have one or two songs I will skip over
