I was at the game myself and was keeping an eye on the Tigers checking if they were offside or not and 40% of the time they weren't.

When we were 20 metres outside the line Payten was continually offside.

But still the Tigers kept us out for a while and it was a great game.

I hope you make the finals.
For the record, i think it wasn't a try. As for the offside, i'm pretty sure Broncos were offside when we were attacking your line, so it goes both ways.

Benefit of the doubt doesn't apply any time that there is doubt. It applies when it's 50/50. If it's 60/40 no try, then no try should be the decision.

I have given full credit to the tigers for an awesome performance tonight, but I'm just so bloody sick of this crap. People call broncos fans whingers

Umm this thread wasnt started by a Tigers fan and more than half the posts are from supporters of other teams

While the final decision was a close one and could've gone either way, stew on this - which is something that almost won you the game:

a forward pass leads to a kick. Minto grouds the ball ingoal as he crawls back into the field of play, after he's attacked by someone who doesn't appear to be going for the ball. The the ball comes loose and senter is held up over the line for 2-3 seconds. He then rolls over and grounds the ball. Result - TRY, and a win for the tiges if the broncos weren't the team they are.

LOL....you got a good imagination mate...

*Replays showed everyone onside and no forward passes in the lead up.

If Minto has grounded the ball ingoal, why is he trying to crawl into the field of play?

Since when do players try to tackle the ball, and NOT the man?

Probably 2 seconds...dunno, irrelevant, ref must call held-he obviously didnt....and Senters movement was never stopped!

Yes,.... try!!

No....a win for WestsTigers if not for an incorrect desicion by whoop whoop man Tim Mander

Take a tip miccle.....do NOT entertain thoughts of a career as a defence lawyer.

I thought the broncos were very good and Wayne Bennett said it was the gutsiest performance all year. I'm not taking anything away from them, not many teams would have come back after Senter's try

I must have missed the part that stated that in the rule book Thierry.

It's common sense. The idea that a video ref would say "well, it's probably not a try, but I better give it anyway" is palpably ridiculous.

Common sense? Isn't it common sense that if it's simultaneous, benefit of the doubt goes to attacking team?

When a ball hits the sideline simultaneously, its not a try.

The ball didn't hit the sideline, his elbow did the same time he planted the ball down. If it's simultaneous or a line ball decision, Benifit of the doubt goes to the attacking team. Is it that hard to understand? Where is the consistency?

Probably. But if it looks to the video ref that maybe the player hit the line just before the ball was grounded, even if he can't be totally sure, he should say no try. If he genuinely has no inclination either way, then he should use BOTD.

i was at the game too and it works both ways buddy
was a bad 10m all night and broncos were exactly the same
if your saying senter should have gone for his tackle from the penalty when he was offside what about the broncos being 4m infront of the reff and not square at marker and the 2 players make the tackle.. play on
thats tops

How biased can you get? Video replay's clearly showed that it hit the sideline.
