I got out of my car today and my head brushed one of the branches on the bottle brush tree out front our house... I was attacked by a thousand moths. I screamed like a bitch!

They haven't reached Canberra yet, but they will. It happens every year, they are Bogong moths...

So I assume this means you would prefer to wake up with this on your face...

I would much prefer that spider. seriously I have a major phobia of moths. I was on the train yesterday and a moth was on my carriage i had to move 3 times.

Hmmm... I dare say you spend your time in Sydney mostly inside and in Wollongong you're outside far more.

How can you make a qualified judgement?

It's called an opinion, Timtim. You of all people should know what they are, or are you the only person allowed to have one?

I swallowed a moth once when I was a kid. It was school holidays, had nothing to do, running around in the backyard like an idiot (obviously with my mouth open) and suddenly stopped in my tracks by the feeling of something rather furry feeling lodged in my throat. As they say in the classics, it didn't even touch the sides of my mouth. I spent a moment grappling with what had just happened to me but the realisation that all I could do was swallow in order to continue breathing comfortably was quite quick and painless.
