For sure.

I'm interested to see what they do with Vouvray... Man I'd like to see her in and run a blinder... Got her riding for about 4k in doubles after MD won the Cox Plate.

Hollow Bullet may be an interesting one at odds here, i don't think any of the Cox field will be lining up in this one, will they?

Plenty of these having a hit out for the Melb Cup if they start. I'll be looking for something that can pick them off over 2000m that is not Cup bound.

Ive got a feeling that Freedman will send Makybe Diva around in this race and bypass the Melbourne Cup. Personally, I really hope they do this and the longetivity of the horse is the first priority and after the Cox Plate, 3200m and 58Kgs might be too much... Having said that the MacKinnon is a horrible race to have a bet in. You never know what horses are going to have a go and which horses are just going around for a gallop before the big one

Id be inclined to say shorter than $1.70

Id say $1.50 and that would be generous.. I dont think bookies would give any better than that. They would not want to risk losing more money on her and considering the way she won the Cox Plate and the MacKinnon is at Flemington you can understand their reasoning

I too would prefer to see her run in this. And she wouldn't get beat. A bunch of them are just having a hitout before the Cup. If she is not over the top after the Cox Plate (that was her Grand Final) then she'd kill them.

The bookies would be praying that she runs in this. Even if they got hammered on the day by her, they won't lose as much as they would if she wins the cup. Doubles alone are set to cost them all millions, and that is before the bets just for the Cup. I actually think you'd get close to the same odds as Cox Plate Day, maybe just under. $1.80 or so I'd reckon

diva might struggle to back up...any thoughts on that idea?

it was a tough run, went quite wide in heavy conditions

I know what you mean, but it probably wasn't as hard as they thought. Boss was having a look around on the turn and never pulled the whip.

If she is right for Tuesday, she'd most lilely be right for Saturday. One or the other, 55.5kg on Saturday aswell as 2400m. Lot easier prospect then Tuesday.

Going to be interesting come Saturday morning if they leave her in the and accept.

Greg Childs to ride Lad of the Manor.

Thats great news.. Brian Johns cost me a few dollars in the Cox Plate in what was a disgraceful ride. The connections wanted him off prior to the Turnbull but the Trainer insisted he stayed on...
