LOL @ Hamilton being an "O for awesome" place.
mate... im the first to bag this place... but i gotta say...

as a sports fan Hamilton is the best place in NZ by a mile... the best stadium to watch football in the country... probably the same for the cricket ground too... small boundries and a great pitch for batting makes it a great ground to watch criket on...

then you have the V8's street race ... not to mention the WRC... and even the 2010 Rowing world championships are out here...

easily the best all-round sporting area in the country.

and to make things even better... if somethings on in auckland that i really want to watch its abit over an hour away.

The problem with Auckland is that you have silver spoon fed know it alls who believe that anything other than rugby, cricket, sailing, tennis and performing arts should be catered for in other centres. I can pretty much assume that the funding stream for the above listed activities within the last year probably exceed all the other activities.

Isn't it a vicious circle? The playing field skewed to a level of unfairness with dickheads making unsound and unjustified decisions based upon their schooling, family ties, wealth and preference to uphold and maintain the aristocratic belief that the above activities is what we all should adhere to.

Sport of the people, by the people, for the people! - borrowed from Abraham Lincoln.

Was thinking about it today, I reckon if they can put a bloody great moat around the ring, Waddell vs Drysdale would be the ideal buildup ;-)
