MSSC Forums!?!

Yeah, all the rleague.com forums have been shut down, because of possible legal action for what reason(s), I'm not sure.

Was the MSSC forum somehow linked with the rleague ones?

Brian won't say anything, I quizzed him on this whole matter at the players party last Saturday night. One thing he did say was that he got a phone call from the ARL due to an email that was sent to them asking questions about the "legal action". Note that the ARL never bothered responding to this email, I know that for a fact as I had emailed them. ;-) Hmm, maybe that's why the message on the mssc forum site has been changed.

With regards to rleague.com all they will say is as follows:

I cannot name names as to who threatened
legal action, but lets just say that the person who did has no interest in
rugby league and its popularity despite what their position in the game may
suggest.

I think the forums are being targeted for a return early in the new year but
will be bought back on a limited basis to begin with.. stay tuned for
further news.

My guess would be someone with a peanut brain. He must have gotten offended by the peanuts he got in the mail from various sources. Hmm, what was his email address again?

I think you'll actually find that there is another reasons why the MSSC forums have been closed down.

Think about what is coming in the first week of February. That's right, the MSSC AGM... Think about how many people are currently disatisfied with the current management... Think about who controls the message board... Think about this very hard... Think about who is going to second the motion to have the books of the MSSC fully audited by an independent organisation...

Also, if the MSSC have been threatened with legal action over the forums, the members have a legal right to know... The MSSC Management cannot withold that kind of information...

Oh, and rleague.com have their new forums up and running, so that "reason" doesn't slice it either...

There dose seem to be a few issues with the MSSC and supporter factions.........

I hope that after the MSSC AGM That all sides can get on.

The team need as many avenues to involve the supporters as possible. And that web site was how I found out about the Banner making and about other Storm related topics.

something like that, but there are bigger issues than the Cowbell that is used, in fact the players have stated that the Cowbell is NOT an issue, so let's leave the Cowbell out of this particular discussion. There are several long term MSSC members, who are becoming increasingly concerned about these issues... Travel is one of these issues.

I hope that after the MSSC AGM That all sides can get on.

yes, agreed, but if not, then there are quite a few supporters who will only be "Supporters" in 2004, and stop giving up our personal time to do things for the club, other than coming to support them at the games, and the social club.

Incidently, has anyone else who is an MSSC member been advised when the AGM is? It is now 2004, and I've not seen anything in the mail, and I am a paid member for 2003/4... If members are not notified of an AGM before it happens, it can be ruled invalid...

Yep, agreed, and the charter of the MSSC should be about the players, not the members of the MSSC, which is an observation that I and others have made in the past...

I have not even got my Cap and goodies for 2 years and i ask them to send it because i can't go to the games and i am waiting for them in the post!!!.


Sorry, i have had not got a single Newsletter or anything sent out to me at all so quite frankly i am going to bring it up at the AGM. I was there last AGM by my self and missing 1 years is ok but 2 years!!! It is and will be Too much!!!.

I will pay it this year but if i don't get anything i will not renew my membership!!!.

I have had not Contact via any forms of communtication!!!. Nothing and i can't go to the game because of traveling

When i first paid my money to the MSSC table July 2002 West Tigers Game. Some "A" hole pocketed the money!!!. After i complained and then a committee person ask to pay for next year (which was Feb 2003) a extra $2.50 and i was promised that i will get my goods Sent. NOTHING!!!.

I can't wait till this AGM because i am one person who is going in there and i will be not happy if i get the cold shoulder!!!.

No matter what happens I shall still atend the banner making nights and support the Storm through out.

i was told by brian before the MSSC went down that it is was Febuary.

But if it does happen i will be there for a shout.


Hopefully, this year all things well i will be attending a lot more!!!.

I can't do the banner nights but i will support them if they were right back.

If they don't like what i say at the AGM, i will say my peice and get out!!!.
