I really could not care less what Mundine says...if you're offended by him, you must ask yourself why?! People these days just get so touchy and worked up over everything...whatever opinion Mundine has on anything should be of no consequence to anyone unless they choose it to be...at the end of the day he is just a guy who boxes and talks smack...no big deal.

I love the guy because of the great things he did in the Red V. I idolised him as a young bloke and regardless of what he has said or done during his boxing career he will always be the "the man" to me!

He's a showman in a sport which demands characters, with Australia being an exception.

Cliche ridden interviews don't get the turnstiles ticking. How many people would have cared if last night's bout was Geale v anyone but Mundine? Not me, that's for sure.
I would still have no idea who Geale is as well.

The build up does make me envious though, from a league standpoint.
Even when there is an opportunity to hype up a big game, particularly one with feeling, coaches and players do everything to hose the fires in the media.
I blame the salary cap, there's just no tribalism anymore.

Perhaps I dont know but Danny Green and Mundine hated each other but actually they have reportedly been seen talking to each other outside of the ring. You never know with Mundine he is actually a very likable guy they say away from the cameras. One opponent once said that he was so nice of a guy but once the cameras came on it was like bling a different persona straight away, but I'll take your word for it about Geale.

Correct.You sort of want him to do ok because he played for us,but this has gone out the window with me since he affiliated himself with Souffs .

At last something of substance from you...I totally agree and I really miss the tribalism. I think a lot of the reason it gets hosed down these days is because of the cap and the Bulldogs supporters taking tribalism to new lows.

I think go back to playing all three grades at the one venue on the same day and giving cap discounts for Club juniors who are in the First Grade and Reserve Grade squads, and we will bring back some of the loyalty of days gone bye.

Totally agree this new system is stupid. They are glorified in under 20's then dumped to nsw cup playing in the suburbs for a different team and not even training with the club they originally signed for, use to love watching the 3 grades if you played well you got promoted the same day
