Which have you been and how good was it?

Last year i went to see George Thorogood and the Destroyers, it was my first real concert (other than the rockquest), and it didnt dissappoint.

On saturday night, i went to see Disturbed live in concert (Redline opened for them) and it was AWESOME!!!

I've only seen REM. They were much better than I thought they would be.

Quite odd though considering my preference for hair metal and the fact that Motley Crue and Velvet Revolver toured last year (useless friends who don't want to go.)

I also ave tickets to U2.

Best club concert i have seen was a few years ago in a smallish club in Rockhampton.. Banther fodder, toe to toe and Frenzal Rhomb.. Was a great night..

I am biased on this topic but Metallica always put on a great show !!

AC/DC have been by far the loudest

The three best shows I've seen have all been Shihad gigs. Foo Fighters at the BDO went off too, and I loved Muse. COG are another great live band. Seen plenty of gigs actually....

After the Fall (pretty good)
Grand Fatal (very good live)
Shihad like 4 times (incredible live band, ANU Bar show was the loudest I;ve seen from any band)
COG (awesome, 2nd loudest gig I've been to)
Gyroscope (again, very good. Very energetic)
Grinspoon (went off)
Foo Fighters
Muse
QOTSA etc at BDO 2004
Disturbed (awesome, but a little creepy at times)
Staind (f**k that guy can sing)
Butterfly Effect (as above)
Screaming Jets (best Aussie Live Band bar none)
Living End (good, but overrated.)
Live (Very good)

Have seen others but these were my faves

The concert i went to, they played the tracks from 10,000 fists. As well as some extra songs to make it like a greatest-hits kinda thing like Stupified and Down With The Sickness replacing some of the songs from 10,000 fists. Now i think about it, i dont think they actually played the song 10,000 fists itself.

They had the crowd rallied up in Stupified followed by the last song of the night Down With The Sickness.

They also played Liberate, Deify and Just Stop really well. WAS AWESOME!

I've been to a few smaller local gigs but in terms of big acts I've seen...
David Bowie (support Something For Kate). Absolutely amazing, I passed up tickets to A Perfect Circle to go see Bowie and I think I made the right choice, beautiful live performer, highlight for me was Under Pressure which he performed as a duet with his bass player. Something For Kate weren't too bad either.
KISS (supports Grinspoon and Machine Gun Fellatio). Awesome pyro display, and what showmen they are! Played all the hits and really got into it. Musically not as good as Bowie but I still enjoyed them immensely. Grinspoon go off as well, but I arrived late and missed MGF - though from what I've been told I really didn't miss much.

Sounds good!

"10 Thousand Fists" wasn't bad, by any means - just not as good as their previous work IMO.

It was good. The lead singer (sorry, i dont know the names) was dissing Punk Rock (mainly Greenday). Very funny stuff!

10 Thousand Fists is the only CD of theirs i have but it is my all time favourite CD. I have some other songs on my computer from them as well.

How is the "Down With The Sickness" CD?

The Sickness is very heavy and dark compared with the later two, Believe and Ten Thousand Fists, which IMO are much better albums. The Sickness just gets very old very easily for mine, with the exception of a few songs like Stupefy and Down With the Sickness.

BTW the lead singers name is David Draiman.

I rate "The Sickness" as their best album. They're all good, but there is just something about their first one...

lol Yeah their lead singer is a very opinionated man, isn't he? lol
