Music Forum 7's??

It's a goer, IMO.

I didn't know there were so many people right into their music. I reckon there's quite a few people who could bang out 500 words on any aspect of music, it'd be excellent.

You could be serious like that SBS show on the Songs That Changed The World or you could take the michael like John Safran's Musical Jamboree - what d'ya say??

Cheers,
Ben S.

Maybe not a forum 7's as such.. but something similar would be cool. What about a debate style thing? Set a topic then two people or two teams have to debate one way or the other.

Definently, Garbo.

I didn't realise how much recall of music facts & trivia I had until this forum started up - and how much I enjoyed talking about it. I reckon I'm not Robinson Crusoe there, either...

It wouldn't have to be the same structure as the Forum 7's - it's something the powers-that-be can iron out - but it'd be good to have a vehicle to write about music that's longer than an average post...

Cheers,
Ben S.

If Forum 7s is a test match, Music 7s could be a One day International.

And by one day i reckon that's all people should get to write their entry. And they have to write on a music topic that's given to them.

And has anyone given some thought to the name of this forum? I thought Music JukeBox, but that might be a bit naff

Would it be teams or, taking Rex's cricket vein one step further, would we all be like Michael Bevan & play for ourselves??

Cheers,

Great thinking Southersaint. I'm in.

I reckon teams of 4.
The players line up as follows -

Drums
Bass
Guitar
Vocals

Drums and Bass lay the platform, the Guitarist puts all the fancy bits on top, then the Vocalist struts forth, positions a pointy-toed boot on the foldback and brings home the bickies.........and the chicks.

I say same structure as Forum Sevens, Have teams, The teams could be in such form as

Punkers
Rockers
Rappers
HipHopers

We could have referees as like Forum Sevens and just have a short season to start it off with 2 finalists and see where we build from there.

You'd do well with him in your team. FM and I are always debating music and even when he is wrong (99% of the time) he always puts forward a good argument.

Well one forum 7's is enough for me personally, but I'd be keen if we sorted out some different style. I like the ideas of a debate, the shorter time period, and the fixed topics. It'd spice the concept up a lot.
