I thought long and hard about posting this but then thought what the hell!
I had the pleasure of walking with Smithy to our various vehicles at about 6pm last night and thought I hit might him with some curly ones! lets just say I got more than I bargained for
We basically spoke about the day, injuries and the win he revealed Grothe broke down at training on Wednesday night and may be out for about 6 weeks! he tried to reveal what went wrong but lets just say he did his hammy!! we then spoke about our other injuries that have been well documented from the game.
The subject about Hadley did come up, [with a little help from me] and revealed that everything that was going on stemmed around what happen between Crusher and himself, which is painfully obvious when you consider who Hadleys co workers are.
NOW!! for the juicy bit!
I asked him whether the talk is true that we would be aggressive on the market for players, he stopped! looked at me and with a cheesy grin! said and I quote "Shit yeah"
He rambled of some usual suspects players that were well documented in the press Riddell, Kite, Head, Pritchard, Tahu then he mentioned two very interesting names that people would not of thought about and that was Chad Robinson and Brent Tate!
He said were obviously not going to get them all, but sounded like he was for a mean crack at them anyway.
On Riddell, he said we've got a real shot on him! he was looking at him to work with John Morris and believes the combination would be leathel. My personel opinion on Riddell have changed some what since yesterday and maybe the money can be spent on luring Tate, which if we got him would be the greatest lure since the big 4! in 95. Personally I reckon he'll stay in Brisbane.
