this is the team i would pick, based on what i have seen from the esl this year. i watch bothj games every week, and believe it is of a high quality.
this team i picked is capable of beating any team in te world, including oz and nz.
it is also based on suspensions inflicted upon players like sean long.
here it is:
1. Richard Mathers
2. Brian Carney
3. Martin Gleeson
4. Kieth Senior
5. Kris Radlinski
6. Danny McGuire
7. Richard Horne
8. Stuart Fielden
9. Danny Orr
10. Adrian Morley
11. Danny Sculthorpe
12. Andrew Farrel
13. Paul Sculthorpe
14. Paul Anderson
15. Jamie Peacock
16. Kieth Mason
17. Llestyn Harris
note, i put radlinski at wing, as he is fast paced, and due to the aussie and kiwi reliance on the boot, they would need kick returners. there is also a lack of world-class wigers from the uk.
also, Orr is perfect at hooker, as he is very creative and would suit perfectly out of dummy half.
Anderson would be explosive of the bench too.
what do u brits think of the team i picked? keeping in mind there are several super league teams i have yet to see in 2004.
