My First Grade side for Round 1

Did anyone see how well Perenara went on Saturday night in PL. He was far and away the best on the park. Played about 65 minutes then backed up to play 15 minutes in first grade.

Dont be surprised to see him named as Gallen's replacement. There are alot of people happy with how he is going.

By the way does anyone know if was cheaper than villa or not. If he was, what a bargain. much better all rounder.

I am surprised to see a couple of people have Kearney at Fullback. I think he is too small especially under the high ball.

I also think we still lack a genuine line breaker in the backs.

I like the idea of Peranara, can play a little ball... excactly what a lock should be able to do, Gallen should be playing at prop, he can't/doesn't pass, he is an incredible player but not a lock.

Who are you comparing him to height wise fiz?

I reckon he'd be in the top 6 tallest fullbacks if anything.

He'd have Bowen, Burt, Slater, Campbell, Thaiday for height. He'd compare favourably with Stewart, McKinnon, Wesser, Hodgson, Mini, Hunt, Patten and Hornby I'd say. Leaves Peachey and whoever is the Raiders fullback.

It's not the height that matters, it's the leap and the courage.

Besides who bombs fullbacks these days. It's wingers who cop the main aerial assaults.

He's also the linebreaker you want going by trial form.

I've always been happy with the fraser signing due to the potential he has based upon stats and speed but because i haven't gone around claiming he'll be the next big thing and remember i told you all - i'm not happy? I asked why you were wrapping someone you'd hardly seen claiming "you knew"... And like always you caught feelings poor widdle diddums

he would be about 5"10, and no more than low 80kg's in weight.

he is deceptively smaller in person.

but i like him as a player.

Perhaps my bias towards him as a Halfback may cloud my judgement. I thought he played fullback against Newcastle at home last year, and that night I thought he was terrible in that role???

I would like to see him at halfback.

I can tell you though that he was $50,000 cheaper than Villa. Don't know the amounts but can guarantee $50k is accurate.

A few talked Henry up a little in 2005 as well reefy. When he was cut by the Dragons before going to Parra. Not many here were interested but he might prove them wrong now. Again.

I hear Marcus is weighing in at around 110kgs these days and running around in Qld somewhere.
