Ok well having spent 2 days playing the next madden on my xbox i thought id tell you guys just how far EA have come.
Also for those wondering how i got the game, i purchased it over the net..lol i couldnt wait anymore.

For those that dont know i prefer to play Madden Online, this years version promises to be a much better game online and offline thanks to PP ( Precision Passing).
Madden 2005 was the worst of the worst imo, it brought nothing and EA made more mistakes on defense (for the online mode). Players were capable of runing the same corner routes and the defense would almost always get burnt..
In Madden 06 the PP offers soooo much, if your good at reading the plays then you can virtually run an offense successfully without having to resort to lame tactics. For those guys that just bomb the ball out wide you will notice that its alot harder..ive yet to play online but my friends tend to get high INT rate due to them just airing the ball left right and centre.
The hit stick feels better with the new animations, also the new tackles and break tackles look great
In my last game this occoured - I was playing as the steelers in my 'Superstar' mode (which ill cover later).
i decided to run a sweep to the left with my rookie RB, he gets the ball and runs the CB charges in but gets beat by a crazy juke to the inside the LB comes in to make a hit but by some fluke i accidentily hit the right Analog stick down which causes my RB to take a step back..the LB dived and done a face plant...I continue to run up field following my blocks..out of nowhere my RB jumps over a fallen player and in mid air gets picked up by the saftey and driven to the ground.
The Superstar mode is very fun..i was doubting this mode earlier and just couldnt believe that EA could do it right..they didnt do it perfect but its very very good.
Im only in week 4 of my season so i cant get into too much detail.
On defense the hits feel and sound alot better, its alot better then last years version.
The sound is still the same crap..John Madden has probably added 10 new lines..lol the worst part about 06 is the commentaray.
I'll be playing online on the PC version which comes out later this month down here but in the mean time ill be going without sleep playing madden 06.
Im giving this game a 9 out 10.
