My Master Super Plan

I have been sitting back thinking a lot about ares in which the NRL could improve. Our game is in trouble at the moment and we need to act quickly. I don't see much thought coming from these boards so I have outlined a comprehensive plan below to solve our problems.

Excitement - The game is predictable at times. We need to make it more exiting so more people will watch.

TV Rights - We need to get more money for TV rights.

International game - We need to strengthen the standard of international matches and also promote them better.

Advertising - We need to do more advertising and make sure its effective.

PR - We need more PR for the game.

Image revitalization - We must improve the image of our game and improve player behaviour.

Crowds - Simple. We should boost crowds.

Salary Cap - We need to find ways to get more money for players or they will go overseas or to union.

Relocation - We need the right mix of teams in different locations.

As I have outlined above there is a way forward for the NRL but they must get there heads out of the sand and follow the points I have outlined above. The answers are simple just News and the NRL aren't willing to do the things I've said.

And they're not exactly your ideas. They're all things that get talked about all of the time.

Big Mick, don't assume that danger mouse has nothing.

Im sure he came up with these issues all by himself while he was sitting on his lounge. He will solve all of league's problems very shortly.

I can't wait to see what he has for us to learn.

I have outlined the simple plan. As I say we can blame News Ltd for standing in the way of this agenda. I have not stolen anyones ideas. These are all my own. Not sure why I need to elaborate any further it should be obvious to people eg If we boost crowds this will a)bring more money into the game 2)look better on TV and 3)Create more atmosphere at different grounds. Do I need to go into this level of detail on every point. The ideas speak for themselves.

A plan would involve you outlining how you intended to achieve these goals. You've just rattled off a list of 'wants' with no thought as to how to attain them. That's not a plan at all. It's a f**king shopping list.

Here's my plan:

- Nail Scarlett Johannsen
- Become a millionaire
- Win the British Open
- Win the Australian Open
- Time travel
- Cure Aids
- Invent new, more lethal strain of aids. Give it to people who make baseless lists and pawn them off as plans. Hold cure for myself to cover obvious hypocrisy.

Tee hee

Have you been living under some rock? Those are IDEAS!!!! Do you really believe that the games powerbrokers have not considered the ideas that you have mentioned? Upto this stage, you have not mentioned a damn plan.

You DO need to elaborate on your ideas on how to solve them.

Genius, give us your pearls of wisdom!!!!

Genius, you have disappointed me.

I feel like the main character in "The Crying Game". All that hope of getting a good looking chick in the sack eventually turning to disappointment.

Damn you!!!!

Please tell me how you're restricted by News Limited?

Im ready for a giggle.

Actually, you'd fit in for writing for the Telecrap. They need your broad knowledge of Rugby League. Im sure they will do a two word spread for you.

My master plan is for the game to be brilliant and never have a care in the world again.

There you go this is easy, who needs a CEO or board?

The problem we have is that we've only just realised what our problem is and why it is like it is. For decades our clubs haven't had to worry about crowds because they had the backing of the Leagues clubs. That backing is now all but non-existent, so other income streams must be hiked up to maximise income, crowds being the #1 way.

But we've not worried about crowds for 40 years.

It will take generational change to turn crowds around.

It will take tough decisions like cutting out live games on PayTV and 9 in the city they're being played in, blanket promotion on TV and radio, opening up radio coverage and not charging anyone to cover it and ramping up promotion of the game in the bush via games in country towns, even if it means a 6k crowd at Casino or Wauchope occasionally.

We also need to ensure that the bush is looked after, clubs and players should be spending as much time in the bush at clinics etc as they do in their own areas and we have to find more money for the bush teams somehow. When it comes to our heartlands, nowhere is as strong as the bush.

There are plenty of other tough decisions to be made and the current admin are NOT capable of making them.
