I've just had my performance review
"Lazy, disinterested, absent, unmotivated" were some of the kinder apparaisals directed my way.

But I have been granted a stay of execution.
I'm going from windows to mac
I will use the USB slots on the right not the left
I will use ethernet rather than wifi to ensure I can surf more web pages at a faster rate in a given time span

All is well and I look forward to a St george like 11 in a row `employee of the month' awards

f**k me dead

We would sack you, but what if we stuffed up and hired someone even worse? Therefore we will stick with you indefinitely.
Beers tonight?

I've got a clause in my contract that says if I don't meet my targets the bosses can sack me, but only if they pay me half a years salary... But it's okay becasue for most of the year I was on track to meet my target. It was just that little bit at the end that caught me off guard.

I usually put the sugar in my cup first at smoko...then the coffee
But sometimes.............

If you warm the cup first with plain boiling water before you make the coffee it is meant to make better coffee. Performance thereafter should increase exponentially

Some weeks I like coffee, others tea and sometimes I switch to hot chocolate. I also like to change mugs around to see if that makes a difference. Pretty much spent the whole year trying all the combinations but could never settle on one that really worked for me.
Oh well, try again next year ...

Ron, you should have stuck to the combination you liked best in January on your holidays before returning to work and getting back into your work.

You can't use the company time to waste on changing combinations when there's some serious work to do, KPI's to meet, etc etc. Your CEO would not or should not appreciate that.

Me, if I was your manager, I would have reviewed your performance mid year.

Just parade yourself out the front of a rival company's head office, your bosses will panic and you'll likely get a payrise and will be made the de facto GM.

Happy days.

I am still the best man for the job. There is no-one better. You're all way off the mark.

If you're in middle management, you can also get one of your direct reports to harp on about how great a worker you are and you're the best there is.
