On paper we have an awesome side, I havent included everyone either. Still Id love to see Burt in the 5 and put Grothe in the centres.

1. McKinnon
2. Petersen
3. Tahu
4. Burt
5. Grothe Jnr
6. Morris
7. Witt
8. Stringer
9. Riddell
10. Cayless
11. Hindmarsh
12. Morrison
13. Wagon

14. Marsh
15. Widders
16. Vella
17. Cannings

And I know I have missed some guys, on paper this is a very strong team.

Good size, good speed, good skills. Our back 3 forwards are all 80 minute players. Our hooker is one of the best in the game, our halves whilst not being the most talented, have great kicking games and with some work, can really gel. Our bench is full of impact. Like someone else said, there is no excuses.

3. Burt
4. Tahu
5. Grothe
6. Morris
7. Witt (deserves to have 1st shot behind a good forward pack)
8. Cannings

14. PJ Marsh
15. Wagon

I know theres only 1 front rower on my bench but we all know Nathan loves rolling the sleeves up so he'll cover any shortages there and widders/wagon can slot into the centres or the 2nd row if needed there.....

Not putting Marsh in 6 or 7 is offensive. Are you people serious. Do you really think he was released by the Warriors and agreed to sign with us to come from the bench and be used as a impact player like the way he was in 2001? He went to the Warriors to start, he returned to Parra to do the same. Give the man some respect. he is our long term solution in either 6 or 7. Take your pick but not the bench.

It's also offensive to see Burt at right centre

If there's anything that 2004 has taught us, it's that Burt is hopeless at right centre. He goes OK at left centre (where he is currently playing) but I think his best position is on the wing. Petersen is another player who plays his best football on the left side of the field.

True but Grothe is a left side player as well.

2 eighty minute quality secondrowers is an awesome idea. wagon is too good in defence to leave out. the forward pack is bloody scary. even though burt's defence sucks, he is a player capable of getting a try from nowhere - defence is something u can improve on.

widders on the bench is a must, that guy is so effective from the bench. only thing i might switch around is paul stringer with aaron cannings, stringer can take all the damage at the start, and then cannings will demolish them.

and morris at 5/8 is bloody awesome...he hogs too much to be an effective hooker, but he can defend and likes to take the line on, and can pass a long ball.. that's what u need in a 5/8.

PJ marsh at halfback is a given, the guy has more confidence, a better running game and a kicking game that greatly excels that of witt. remember the dude is a state of origin player, who made a huge difference to the team when he played. the only prob i see, is i remember he used to cramp heaps after playing 60 mins in a game.. if that's the case we might need a backup halfback coz morris sure as hell cant do it (after seeing him 'fill in' for andrew johns)

why am i excited ? every player on that team can defend pretty well with the exception of burt and marsh to a lesser extent. and our team doesnt lack the strikepower we lost after losing hodgson and lyon... tahu when fit is a try a game, burt can sniff a try in broken play, marsh was awesome in 2001 at finding the holes, grothe is a try a game, mckinnon backs up so well, peterson is a bit fiery but if given a chance he'll score a try

if we aren't top 4 contenders next year i'm gonna cry.

Why no Cayless?

And Vella aswell??......due to the great forward depth we'll have next year i've totally forgotten about him, he'll probably be injured again though......however, if this isn't the case i'd say Cayless to the frontrow to accomodate Wagon....stringer the bench & Meteo too drop off.

Fair enough, with those changes I agree with your team.
BTW, I didn't ask about Vella ;-)
