The Titans next target is Nate Myles, although it's understood he is choosing between the Sydney Roosters and Melbourne.
Storm's chances of securing the Queensland forward increased after his management rang the club yesterday to say how impressed Myles was with club.
South Sydney centre Adam MacDougall has told Melbourne he wants to continue his career at Storm.

I actually like MacDougall - if he is coached well he can be deadly.

the thing is MacDougall would fill the same role as Chris Walker does.... Only a few games a year... the only thing i can think of is Geyer to 5/8 and Doogs on the wing?

I reckon Mad dog would be a good pickup providing we don't pay overs for his services.

Yes. Boofa is an effective option at five eighth.

I think Walker should at least get another go before we think about signing anymore outside backs.

As for Myles.... where would he play. Prop or backrow? We have ample coverage in both areas.

If he wants a starting possie i can't see it being at Melbourne!

well maybe all those people that said forget about inglis at 5/8 should have another think, if we do indeed sign myles and macdougall, hows this for a line up:

1. Billy Slater
2. Matt Geyer
3. Matt King
4. Adam MacDougall
5. Anthony Quinn
6. Greg Inglis
7. Cooper Cronk
8. Brett White
9. Cameron Smith
10. Nate Myles
11. Mick Crocker
12. Ryan Hoffman
13. Dallas Johnson

14. Ben Cross
15. Antonio Kaufusi
16. Jeremey Smith
17. Garrett Crossman

How good is that!!!

Surely Crossman couldnt be demoted to a bench spot... he has been our best forward this year...

God our back row is awesome... I'm a big fan of Jezza Smith!

1999...you forget that Quinn was signed as a centre option.

its his preferred possie, he wants to play there and he came to melbourne on that understanding....

My backline would be...

1. Slater
2. Geyer
3. King
4. Quinn
5. Walker
6. Ingliss
7. Cronk

Again, I cannot stress enough.... I'd take Walker over Macdougall any day of the week.

Chris has got more footy in him than Doogs.

where did you hear that about quinn? I havent heard the storm nor him say he has signed to play centre.

Bellamy said that he thinks inglis will be a 5/8 LATER on down the track. I think they want to give him more experince before throwing him at 5/8.

Walker has done jack sh*t for us....what has he done that special? nothing. he is average at best....

inglis and king will be cnetres quinn and boofa on the wing.

i read about Quinn in the paper somewhere.... I think it may have even been Peter OSullivan who said it.

Walker. In 2006. I think he's done well for someone who is stuck behind a backline full of stars.

He's younger than Macdougall and for mine is better value.

If we do sign Macdougall then thats great bt I dont think it should be at the expense of players who are much younger.

And if Chris does leave I hope some other club realises that he has a bit more to offer still aND sign him up!

just checked the dogs website to confirm as well...... myles is a front or second row forward.

He wants a starting possie from all reports and I think we already have enough depth in the pack.

As much as I'd like to have him at Storm smart money says he goes to the Titans or Roosters or stays with the Dogs who just tabled a new 4 year deal for him.

It all depends on what sort of money we can sign MacDougall and Walker for next year. If we can get them on the cheap I would definitely sign them both up as handy, experienced back-up players. I doubt either of them would be in the starting 13 or even a bench spot. Very handy squad players though, especially around Origin time.

Adam MacDougall isn't a team player IMO. Just look whats happened at Souths.

Chris Walker would be a much better option.

- He's younger
- Probably cheaper
- Fitter

Considering neither of these players will take the run up team in a full fit Melbourne backline, you'd have to go with Chris Wlaker IMO, who has lifted his form dramitically since his stint at the Roosters in the limited oppurtunity's he has had.

Walker is a good solid player who has played consistently good games this year...a much better utility than Dougs who is injury prone but has the experience that the club's younger players could learn from.
