Myles Signs with Roosters

The Roosters have secured its first major signing for the club’s 100th season in 2007.

QLD State of Origin and Bulldogs forward Nate Myles has signed with the Roosters for a 3 year term covering seasons 2007 – 2009.

Despite a number of strong offers from a variety of NRL clubs, Nate confirmed his decision was based on living in Sydney where he is well established and was enthusiastic to play under Ricky Stuart.

Personally, I don't reckon we need him. The good news is now that we can use the money we were going to throw at Myles for future player upgrades and to possibly purchase a 5/8.

would have been good to have him as i think he still has a little bit to improve...and under bellamy he would really lift as a player....also with kearns, kearney down there they would help as they have done with the other forwards.

But with that being said...im happy with the pack we have and if we can upgrade someones contract to stay longer or buy a 5/8 as you mentioned mony...then ill be happy with that.

I never really saw him coming to Melbourne anyway, the Roosters just had a hell of a lot better deal (not just in terms of money).

we didn't need Myles to begin with.... our forward stocks are good enough already.
