Luckily Browns head wasn’t in an angle that could of broken his neck.

Brown took Cleary’s full body weight on his neck.

Few media types. You know the ones that think it’s not his go so he shouldn’t be suspended think this is a good thing, he’ll come fresh and motivated.

I don’t see it quite like that, I see him coming back rusty , lacking match fitness and out of form.

Don’t mind who we play in the top 4 now. They would have gotten a lot of confidence playing them last week

Not to mention that with him and Jenny Luai both out a new halves duo can change a lot of good habits in 5 weeks.

5 weeks not enough. Deserved 8. Could have killed someone. Dog act
It was a f**kn shocker of a tackle, no doubt. Thankfully no harm done. I'm not convinced that players are really thinking to cause injury; just make the tackle & get back in the line. I support the rule changes to minimise risk of serious injury, but it requires a cultural change in how the game is played/coached. That kind of cultural change takes a generation. You'd hope that the powers in charge of the game are addressing this at junior level.

They make a shitload of changes to every other rule. Why not just make lifting illegal? Period! Is there a need to do it other than to be a big tuff he man? Or, to slam a bloke so he does in fact get hurt. Not maimed, but hurt and therefore less effective.

Just ban the lifting. Hardly rocket science.

I can’t agree with this sentiment - yes players have brain snaps (which I completely understand), yes it can be ridiculously dangerous, but, it’s few and far between. If we keep going down this road, we’re going to end up in a place where you’re not allowed to try and hurt the opposition. Rugby league is a contact sport, and from day dot, a part of the game has been trying to physically dominate (and hurt) the opposition. It’s not the same sport without that. As a player, I LOVED that element of the game - whether it be because of my own ego, or part of the theatre of the game, there is no better feeling than knowing you battered your opposite number - if we keep going down this road, the professional game will end up at ‘grab’.

Cleary and Luai where both in average form the past month, if they played the next 5 weeks they would of had their timing and form back but now they will be as rusty as anything.
Now we just need API or Yeo to go down to completely f**k them up.

Yeo is a great player, but he has been average for the last few games too. Looks like he’s playing busted to me and doing far too much ball playing. Maybe he’s been reading his own press too much, but he needs to do his hard yards first and foremost - that’s what creates the deception… anyway, f**k him and the choamps, hopefully the wheels fall off and we can ‘bye bye’ Luai in the finals.

I don't agree with myself. I just think it'll happen. Wanted to be first in. HAHA
