God damn that try was insane, what a talent !

Im happy to see him going so well at the Sharks, top bloke and a really good player who was told he was to small to ever make it.

Shame we couldn't have held onto him :( !

That's one of the reason I don't pay much attention to the NYC. Any player with any ability seems to get poached by Cronulla or Manly. At least we shouldn't have that problem this year

Yep, he has always had the talent and i was devestated when we let him go but the sad fact is that his best position is fullback, he was never going to oust Hayne so what was he to do?

He used to score tries like that in the NYC regularily, very happy he is playing first grade and he deserves it a million times more than Kelly imo......

I saw him play in Griffith in 2009 against Penrith in the pre-season trial. He had a great game that day and really looked a kid with heaps of promise.
You can't keep them all...that's why Melbourne cheated the Salary Cap..they WANTED to keep all the kids they developed...

I blame nobody in regards to him leaving, the club couldnt hold onto him and Gardner justed wanted a chance.

Its still a shame we developed him through the juniors and then had to let him go.

Such a talented kid ! Bit like Tonga back in the day , with Lyon in front of him he had to leave. I remember Tonga killing Premier League back in the day.

Cronulla should be renamed the Parramatta B team. ( when they win )

Still call them Cronulla Sharks when they get belted.

Wasn't he the one we didn't offer a contract to? Regardless it would have been hard for him to crack nrl here so going to sharks was a good move and good luck to him

he was looking pretty keen to give someone a hi-5 after that try and could only find one dude in the crowd who wasn't wearing any colours, so I think he was a bit unsure whether he was a sharks fan

That was a sensational try. Hopefully he can keep his good form going. Good to see him doing well.

it was definitely a wonderful try but he's not the sort of guy that I'd like to depend on under a high ball.

Yes awesome stuff, to bad we cant keep them all :(. one thing parra is good at producing is Fullbacks. all teams seem to have there niche. Bulldogs and Dragons forwards, newcastle halves etc.

He was offered a deal aat Parra, but Sharks paid him more and told him via Grima he would be in line for a first grade shot. Easy answer I guess

Anyone who watched NYC last year, 2 go to players, Mitchell and Gardner.

Otherwise nicknamed "The Usual Suspects" Gards' try last night literally brought a tear to my eye.
