Why isnt there a Nathan Hindmarsh sticky here?

59 tackles tonight, The nearest to him had 28
this in itself is a record Id say (the difference between 1st and 2nd tackler)

Watching him closely, even when he wasnt involved in the tackles, he tried to get near the tackled player to stop promotion of the ball

Is 59 tackes a record for the Eels club?

I know Paul Taylor got 50 odd, but dont think 59 has ever been reached

Hindy is bloody brilliant

I dont wanna biased but if you were to name the top 5 or even 3 players in the NRL, Nathan Hindmarsh is surely in that list.

Its not just his 59 tackles, but his fending off, getting rid of 3-4 defenders, his strength, try saving tackles, trying to clean up a ball, chasing down a winger/fullback. Mate is there anything Hindmarsh doesnt do.

He's a legend.

Absolute machine, I never thought he'd be up for regular captaincy but now I think we'd be stupid to take it off him. Speaking of stupid, it's probably the first thing Brian Smith will do but either way, we'd be f**ked without Hindy.

To be honest i'm kind of over the current Nathan Hindmarsh.

I'm not saying his a bad player, i just think his not living up to what he could be. His attacking game is non-exsistent. I miss the Hindy of 00-02 that would run wide and hit the gap, the great offloads, it's just gone.

I know his a machine and makes a thousand tackles, but defence isn't everything.

thats what i think, he is a great player and the best defender but you have to think that making 59 tackles and consistently being the top tackler will leave him with no energy to attack and make a dent in the defensive line, is a great player but wanna see him attack more.

He was definately a little flat in attack tonight, but the defence was incredible. Not just the number of tackles, but the quality. So many times the Cowboys were looking to offload and Hindmarsh wrapped them up with ball and all tackles. Not to mention try-saving cover tackles

The only reason Hindy had to tackle so much tonight was because of Morrison not being there.
The last two weeks he's been carrying a leg injury which has impeded his speed yet he consistently breaks tackles and necessitates three tacklers.

I'm not usually one to gush over an already hyped player but in this case I think Hindy's plaudits are well deserved.

Henry Perenara nearly replaced him before the match last night.

Unfortunately with Morrison out injured, it's back to week in week out 50+ tackles for Hindy like the old days. Morrison plays a very important role in the side in that he takes alot of the defensive workload off Hindy. It was the major reason he was brought to the club.

The dropped ball leading to the Cows first try was because Hindy was completely buggered. He deserves plenty of credit for all the defensive work he does, but ultimately if we're going to get the best out of him he shouldn't be (required to be) making so many tackles.

Hopefully Morro's knee won't keep him out for too long.
