Sharks are auctioning off all their jerseys from Thursday nights game.
I understand that not many on this main forum will bid but I thought it's good to leave the link up here to see the progress. Sifa and Nicho's have received the biggest bids so far.
Edit: sorry the full teams signed one is heading it off

Awful news. Hopefully he can somehow recover enough to walk again like Masoe.

My son is 5 and I've always wanted him to play RL but I don't think I'll be encouraging it.
And this is what i called would happen with the headline and byline and posted that on Tele comments page and they didn’t publish.
he was playing rugby union but not league . For a media company that relies on the sport they sure now how to f**k it up

Yeah actually I read it on another site before this thread and noted it was RU. I forgot that detail when this thread was posted, and a few moments after I posted on here I remembered that was the case. I didn't end up coming back to edit my post as my thoughts remain the same.

I never really heard of serious spinal injuries or even death in either code when I was growing up, and the game was rougher back then. Recently though we've seen McKinnon and Masoe cop serious injuries, plus James Ackerman and Tommy Raudonokis' grandson have died. Then there's the concussion issues we're now learning more about.

If my son comes to me and says he wants to play, I'll let him but not I'm not going to nudge him in that direction like I planned to.

In 1975 a VFL player was made a quadriplegic after a freak tackle.
