Is there only six districts now? Or are these districts the only districts with any money?

Unsure, others may know thoughThe comp will probably be an Auckland benefit, but i kinda like the old day feel of it. Will be good getting along to Rugby League Park seeing the Red n Black v the Blue with White V

Yep, I'll be getting along, and trying to convince other Cantabs as well...gotta make certain we give the Council less and less reason to poach the park off us

Unsure mate

I know when the new format was proposed last year by Lowe, he had 3 tiers, 4 teams in each, playing a 6 week home and away comp

That idea looks to have been abandoned though looking at the above draw

Thought i would bump this back up to the top seeing as it starts today

Maori TV will be showing a game each round, which starts today at 2pm with coverage of the Taranaki v Waikato match

Hasn't been too bad a game, being played in an absolute mudpit, the middle of the field is shocking

Waikato up 24-16 with 12mins to go. A Waikato win means that Tony Kemp has to shave his head. Stacey Jones giving it to him in the commentary. Is a Hohaia playing in the Waikato side

Think they said that Taranaki won the 16s and Waikato the 18s

And the Maori word for the day is Haukerekere, which means Smashed

Went along to RL Park today for the Canterbury v Taranaki clash

Didn't get there in time for the 16s, saw the 2nd half of the 18s, which Canterbury took out 60-20

Open game turned into little more than a training run, Taranaki were terrible. Canterbury led 58-6 at ht and went on to take the game out 94-10, scoring 17 tries and converting 13 of them.
After about 20mins took off a lot of the big guns too, and only brought them back on in the final 15 or so. Was a flat period of around 10-15 mins in the 2nd half when they only scored 1 try as well

Bamford was unstoppable, scored 2 and laid on a couple more, and he was 1 of the blokes rested for a lot of the match. The hooker Sherlock was also pretty good, along with the halves and the lock who always made metres.
