Where is that stats guys?

Tries per game.

Now this is about naturals, there will be blokes who stats are better as they played outside a genius.

But you start with the stats and widdle out the ones who pretty caught and dived over.

The there are guys like Blacklock and Menzies who just knew where to run, naturally.

Terry Lamb best support player ever IMO.

Greg Alexander. A bit more luck with injury & personal tragedy he could have been close to immortal discussions. He was one of the most naturally gifted players I've seen.

Tim Sheens says Greg Alexander and Benji Marshall were two most gifted players he coached. When you consider he’s coached 750 matches that’s a pretty big wrap.

Probably not as weighty as Sheens, but Matty Johns rated him as one of the best he ever played against in his book.

Considering he had a pretty enviable career as it was, I still consider him one of the great under achievers of the game. Steve Linnane has a bit to answer for on that front & of course the events of 1992.

As @grouch and @Willie Ray mentioned - Nathan Blacklock immediately registered with this thread topic. He's my favourite Dragon of all time, and my favourite player to watch of all time. But aside from my opinion he's got a try-scoring record to back it up. Absolutely Love Tingha.

Competing for Silver & Bronze Medals... players that come to mind include;

John Chicka Ferguson
Phil Blake (especially his early career)
Brett Kenny
Martin Offiah
Jason Robinson
David Peachey
Noa Nadruku
Matt Bowen
Ken Nagas
Brad Fittler
Jarryd Hayne

Agree with that list.
John Chicka Ferguson was a freak, he scored so many amazing tries for Newtown, Easts and Canberra.
Offiah was lousy in defence but God could he score a try, so many good tries for the Roosters and then the Dragons, he actually scorched the Roosters at the SFS in 1991.

Brett Kenny was freakish, especially in big games. Will always be my favourite and should be in immortal discussions as should his mate Sterlo

Alexander is the other one for me, just had everything and like Kenny the devastating acceleration and speed

Surprised that Andrew Walker hasn't been mentioned yet, one of the most naturally gifted footballers i have seen.

Yep definitely deserves a mention, highly talented player - with a huge boot on him. He kicked probably the biggest bomb I've ever seen at Kogarah one night playing for the dragons, toward the northern end. And when I saw it later on TV (Video), the camera couldn't crane itself high enough to get near it - was out of shot for what seemed like ages.

Reg Gasnier scored 127 in 125 games. More then 1 a game
