Memphis Grizzlies (from L.A. Lakers)Donte Greene, Forward, Syracuse

I'm starting to get the feeling that Jawai might go pick 30 - Boston Celtics...that is my guess.

I know Jordan is raw and everything but I really thought someone would of taken him given past years we have seen guys like Sene go in the lottery.

Jawai fits with the clippers? T wolves? Bobcats? Who knows..

Memphis and Minnesota reach a deal that sees them essentialy swap draft picks along with other pieces. Don't know if its been definitely confirmed, but its an interesting deal as it works for both teams. Minnesota already have depth in the 2-guard slot with McCants and Foye and Memphis get a potentially great scorer to team with Gay.

Memphis receives :

Mayo, Marko Jaric, Antoine Walker Greg Buckner.

Minnesota receives:

Kevin Love, Mike Miller, Brian Cardinal, Jason Collins

What happens to 2nd rounders? Do they just play in the summer leagues and go to practice squads??

Not enough drama in a NBA draft! Is it just me or do the NBA players sound less articulate than the NFL rookie... 'Dey gettin a hard workin player who wanna win' x 60. I like the speed of the draft but thats about it...

Not sure I like that deal for Memphis.

Minny gets a good rebounder/outlet passer who can spot up and let Jefferson work inside, as well as a good shooter in Miller and Collins' expiring contract. Sure Cardinal is there for two more years but they can live with that.

Memphis gets back Mayo to pair with Conley & Gay to form a nice little trio, and 3 bits of driftwood. Walker and Buckner I think come off this year so it's not too bad but it's not great either.

High risk/high reward for the grizz whereas it's a case of you know what you're getting for Minny.

I don't really like it for either side. The only flip side to it is Mayo, Conley and Gay make the Grizz one of the most exciting young teams around.

Love is a undersized pf at what 6"8? he forces Jefferson to play out of position and become a undersized c at 6"10.. Both do not like defense either. I like both players and it may work and I guess you bank on Mayo never being the star he could be and you take Love, Miller and dump the back contracts and run.

Miller is a good player but doesn't make sense to be on their roster given they are rebuilding. I don't think he lasts past the trade deadline and is a HELL of a throw in and will net something very nice you would think.

Memphis gets bad contracts but Walker will probably be bought out, if not you don't pick up the team option next off season. Buckner is a good locker room guy who can mentor the young guys and Jaric is well Jaric.

A Foye, Mayo back court could of caused some real headaches.

Odd deal.. I can see why both team did it but still ballsy from both sides.. It was reported McHale loved Love early on. Shame we don't get to see any Gay Love on court :)oops: sorry)
