lol, Knicks season gets slightly worse:
NEW YORK --
Knicks guard
Raymond Felton appeared in court on Tuesday and was formally charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree and one count of criminal possession of a firearm. Each is considered a felony in New York state.
While it was earlier reported that Felton's wife alleged that he threatened her with a firearm, no domestic charges were revealed during Tuesday's court proceedings.
Felton was issued a six-month order of protection from his wife and bail was set at $25,000. Bail has been posted and there are no legal restrictions on his ability to travel.
Court was adjourned in Felton's case until June 2, at which point grand-jury action may take place.
Neither Felton nor his attorney spoke as they left the courtroom.
Police said Felton turned himself in at 12:50 a.m. ET Tuesday, not long after the Knicks lost to the
Dallas Mavericks on a buzzer-beater at Madison Square Garden.
