Yeah that was my original thought post draft... I thought he would be lucky to see time out of the d-league.
But the signs coming out of OKC is he's going to be in the rotation and could be very high in the rotation.
I saw a stat the other day that said he was averaging a double double per 30mins over the pre-season...
Sure that's only pre-season... But f**k me... I don't even think Perkins hit a double double all last season.
Having a consistent scoring option down low just turns OKC into a different beast... Durant has already said to the media he thinks he's ready to start...
Quite frankly it's a pleasant surprise because I watched him at Pitt... And he was a bumbling mess... Had no offensive touch at all...
From what I saw Chicago in pre-season he's 10 times better than what I saw in college... It just defies belief...
Apparently some experts a rating him the steal of the draft...
Let's see if he can turn that pre-season hype in to reality....
