Doncic for Monobrow has to be the oddest trade in history. 2 of the best players in league, neither are troublemakers and yet there’s no winners in the trade.

Yeah has me baffled Luka likes to have the ball in hand which is what LeBron also likes. Plus now they are missing their big man in the middle.

Mavs sold their Cleary for an aging AD it's like swapping Cleary for Jurbo...

This trade makes sense if the Mavs are concerned about Luka's fitness moving forward. But if not, hard to understand their thinking ... unless they are obsessed with defense.

Most everyone is assessing the Lakers to be the winners of the trade.

Yea I reckon Lakers have won the trade. Lebron has always had more success with a really good guard so might be a better fit.
Plus Doncic is 25 and Davis 31

I reckon the Lakers are trying to move on from Lefraud as soon as possible, their defence is dreadful now without AD it will be even worse especially on the perimeter.

Let’s face it Lefraud is a cancer getting his buddy hired as coach getting his useless sprog onto the team let’s face it his antics would make even Bea Arthur blush. And the word is around the traps that Doncic is not well liked has has a poor work ethic.

Apparently reason being was with his huge contract coming up but also his commitment. Apparently has a poor diet and can be lazy. They beleive his injuries could of been less time off had he looked after his body.
Their concern is once this big contract kicks in he gets even more complacent.

If his body however doesn't fall apart like they are predicting then this is an epic loss for the Mavs and a huge win for the Lakers.

The thing is I think Lalaland is going to exacerbate any problems Doncic has

Actually I forgot who else Dallas has. I think they and Davis probably won the trade except maybe they could’ve gone harder for some drafts due to Davis’ age.
Their lineup is now Davis, Washington, Thompson, Dinwiddie & Irving. Davis has big backup with Gafford.
Long term maybe Doncic stays a MVP contender but Lakers are going to have to rebuild around him and hope he stays on rails.
I think it may affect the Pacers in keeping Myles Turner. Lakers have tried few times to get him and now they really need centre, although I don’t think Lakers have anything Pacers want

Reports saying Doncic weighing 120kg! I guess he’ll be playing centre then.
To put that in perspective that’s about 10kgs heavier than LeBron who is 10cm taller.

No. They said he has always been fit when time to play but at one stage I assume not during playing season he blew out to 118kgs. That's not his current weight or playing weight I don't think.

They run Oct to June. Even if we say they don’t go all the way and finish up season in May, that’s still only 4 non-active playing months for him to blow out then shred it back off. Even if it was, that’s a health concern.
Looking at him, I’d say he comparatively over weight. Clearly that doesn’t affect his performance (may even help it) but long term if it continues, it may increase risk of him having same output

Lakers trading away an aging player who is a great defender to get a young, talented scorer who can't defend for shit.

Mavs get rid of their franchise player to receive an older centre who has been one of the best in the NBA but is often injured.

Will be interesting how this all ends up.

I'm a Lakers fan that has had a massive hard on for Luka for the past four years at least. I only just now managed to calm myself down and get my pants back on.
