NBA Tickets

Hey, does anyone here have any experience buying NBA tickets?

I'm heading to Miami at the end of the year and would be real keen to catch a game, just had a look and during the few days I'm there they are playing the Lakers... Which would obviously be awesome, but it's a bit of a catch 22 because I assume it's gonna be real hard to get tickets to that game. I would have been happy to see them play anyone.

So yeah, will it be hard? When do they go on sale/ where do you buy them from? How much will it set me back?

Cheers for any help.

p.s. Yes I know, Heat fan blah blah

Provided there is no lockout tickets go on sale late sept early oct.
I think the Heat use Ticketmaster and if you have an account here it will work for the US. Use Will-Call as the delivery method. That's picking the tickets up from the box office the day of the game. Failing that use a ticketing agency. When I need tickets for a hard to get tickets to game I use 5 Star Seating in Los Angeles. They can get tickets to anything. I've got Jazz, Warriors, Bulls etc tickets from them. If you are stopping over in LA they can deliver them to your hotel or fed ex them to whatever hotel you are staying at.

I bought tickets to Celtics - Knicks at MSG for the game last december using the Ticketmaster US website and using will-call method while i was planning my holiday here. Then when I was in New York I picked them up no problems, they swiped my credit card at the ticket office then gave me my tickets and then I enjoyed the game. I'd think you have to pay a mint for tickets but you'll forget about the price once you get there and enjoy the game

Ill be in L.A in late March next year. The game i'd really love to catch that is scheduled is the Lakers vs Thunder. If the season isnt in lockout how much would i expect to pay for a ticket? Are Clippers tickets cheaper because they also play 3 games while im there. I'd just love to brag to my mates that ive seen Kobe vs Durant in the flesh... The only time ill ever be in the USA and damn lockout happens :( Might also catch some MLB and NHL while im there but im definately going to check out a few NBA games... if they are on :(

Clippers tickets are cheaper and more avaliable. Good seats in the lower bowl usually go for 80-150. Don't sit close to the court, try and get seats in the middle of a lower bowl bay. You end up paying a shit load and see nothing. That said Staples dosen't really have a bad seat, you could be sitting in the upper bowl and it still seems 'close' For Lakers V Thunder I would say there would be no tickets avaliable on ticketmaster so a ticketing agency would be the only option. I would guess it would be $100-150 as a starting price for a ticket.

I know, really hoping it will; I think I'll chuck out a few hundred for Heat tickets if it's on

I got mine from Stub Hub when I visited the US. Don't hesitate if you fail to get tickets as there are always people scalping.
