Start of the season they were only ever going to limp into the standard top 8 and get beat. Then celebrate making the top 8. Club hoped for top 4.
Getting results like last night was washed over in the years gone by as a “bad loss” and something to learn from... meh

Uele is a bench player. Nothing more. Rudolf isn’t a lock, put him in the front row. In saying that I hope he signed his contract with Canterbury before last night because it’ll be worth 200k less after that performance. Absolute shithouse from all of them bar a couple of obvious ones.

For me the most obvious thing lacking is a true game manager. We have been in all 7 games we have played this year but have won just two. Last night it was just magnified because we shit the bed against a rank average side. Wouldn’t surprise me if we came out and jagged a couple of games in the next 5 weeks against better opposition.

So many times last night the kick in behind for Ramien and hiroti was on but they didn’t try it once.. Ramien called for it a few times but nothing, they tried the same play over and over again for no result until it was pretty much too late.

I would have thought after the second time hiroti dropped the ball over the line they would have swapped him and Tracey. tracey is clearly quicker and that was the issue with hiroti as katoa always managed to turn and have enough speed to catch him.

Actions have consequences

For me the most obvious thing lacking is a true game manager. We have been in all 7 games we have played this year but have won just two. Last night it was just magnified because we shit the bed against a rank average side. Wouldn’t surprise me if we came out and jagged a couple of games in the next 5 weeks against better opposition.

We are still shit but 100% agree if we turn it on and click we can win plenty of games, we have missed players through injuries, hia, suspensions all year, throws out momentum, timing, players not being able to be dropped as we can’t replace them, forwards doing to many minutes. With all the crap going on in the club ( tho the right thing for us ) was bound to have an effect on things short term. Throw in like Katoa and Moylan we score 2-3 more tries, no Dugan we save 1-2 more tries fit Graham that smashes FJ all night, Tolman tighten up the ruck, game fit SJ at half no Billy mc f**k face out there, 15 min spell from hunt & it’s a different game. Give them a few weeks and players back from injuries and we will be a different team and at least give us something to cheer about the back end of the season. We won’t win the comp and will struggle to scrape in to the 8 with a first week exit but it’s better than nothing.

Just on the negatives, I got told from a reliable source that 5 players got the talk during the week, perhaps Woods and Duges were amongst those as they were f**king woeful. I can iunderstand, although watch the silly shit creep into the team from now on in. We are doneski.
