Also the rumours are the wolves are looking to use the pick they got from the jazz not their own(or something like that..). I just want Melo in NY already!

Chandler should go if Melo comes, Gallinari will be 6th man so Chandler will see little minutes.

Yeah the Melo thing has gotten tiresome. And tbf to Melo, he's made his intentions pretty clear from the start.

Man how much will the Nuggets be regretting that they couldn't get a deal with the Nets done. Favors + Harris as well as draft picks is looking like a king's ransom right about now.

I'm thinking in line with Fast Eddie here. I don't see how they could find minutes for Melo, Gallo and Chandler, unless they played Chandler mostly at the 4.

Wow if it happens. Melo and Bryant with Gasol and Odom seems like an extremely potent offence on paper. Only problem is Gasol (and even Odom) arguably don't get utilised enough now so imagine what happens when you add Melo? Bryant ranks first in usage rate and Melo 6th. Melo would be an ideal triangle player IMO IF he was the focal point. If he's mostly used to spot up off the ball then it's a waste. That's probably the best return for Bynum (depending on what other terrible contracts are taken back) but would Melo be happy not being the star? Defensively they would slip a bit more too, especially if Artest is included. Wonder if the Nuggets are leaking this to put more pressure on the Knicks though?

I honestly don't believe that trade makes the Lakers any better this year though. I do believe that it would make the Nuggets a hell of a lot better. Billups-Afflalo/Smith-Harrington-Nene-Bynum with K-Mart-Anderson-Smith/Afflalo-Lawson off the bench? Pretty solid.

Although it does lead to the issue of Gasol being locked into the C position, which as said before, I'm not comfortable with.

Doubt the Nuggets are serious though, and I agree with your point that they're trying to get the Knicks desperate, who up until this point have had all the leverage.

Apparently the Melo to lakers rumour is false. Besides it doesnt make sense, the Lakers need defense and rebounding so why would the trade a 7ft centre for a scorer who plays NO defense?
