i thought peni tagive looked more confident and safe with the ball on friday, i know its still early days but i think we need him to start on the wing in place of ryan.

I'd like to see more of him before he becomes a regular, (that said, I'm happy for him to hold down a spot whilst Lawrence and Collis are out). Played very well on Friday, but he needs to back it up, which he will have the chance to do this week.

1 gallant (needs a few more games imo)
2 tagive
3 lawrence
4 moltzen
5 tuiaki

i know peni needs to back it up with a few solid performances especially given his lack of consistency in prior 1st grade games, he just seems more mature now

for me ryan has potential but lack of heart at the moment

i would prefer to see him at 5/8 but realisticly thats not going to happen anytime soon, so i was more thinking he could have to chance to play some ball from the centers and try to create a few more opportunities

Peni still can't hold the pill. He's good for two or 3 drops a match.

Regardless, he's still the 2nd best wing option in the club by far and is a potential first class outside back. Imagine the work Collis could do with that speed and brawn outside him.

E.g not only could Hape play his own game really well with Vainikolo outside him, he also used him as a massive threat to score plenty of his own. No one sees Ryan as any sort of threat, and quite rightly so.

Yep,he sure could kill it with a decent winger outside him.

Moltzens size and defence, moreso lack of, would be a big downfall of him being in the centres

Peni was good on Friday but it was a bad defensive lapse on his part that led to the T'eo try in the second half..dawdled back on the short side, not watching, then was caught out when they went to him and made a very ordinary attempt at a tackle. Be interesting to see how he goes this week though.

On Beau Ryan - he has eclipsed John Carlaw as 'guy who consistently puts match-losing performances back to back'. He should have been dropped months ago when he dogged it 'defending' that kick against the Cowboys and Sheen's can't complain about losing close games when he's continuing to carry players who are hopelessly out of form (/short on ability..).

you're thinking of Rhys Hanbury. Always misses a crucial tackle, or bombs a try.

To me he still looked to be favoring the groin, looked a little tentative when stretching out. Anyway the real test, will he be able to back friday nights game up in NZ. I would imagine a freezing day on a heavy track will not be to his likings but I did like what i saw the other night, he did play australian schoolboys with Lawerence and Inglis so he dose have some pedigree

I dispute it.

Beau....plenty of hard runs when we are in trouble.

Some freakish plays to set up to tires out of nothing.

Anyone with half a football brain can see that Peni can be a superstar in this game. He has the strength, speed and his workrate is high. He can only get better. All you haters said the same about Lawrance and look at him now. You have to persist with these youngsters who have talent. Beau is a good toiler, but he won't win you a match. Peace off Collis.

Makes some good efforts, isn't really contributing to winning football now is it. Peni was doing the hard yards when he was last in FG too. It's not a big deal, just a compliment to his devastation running... directly contrasted by Sleau Ryan.
