I've got it and whilst I haven't been a fan of their last two albums, this one is much, much better than Bounce or Crush IMO. The music is much better than the last two albums and songs are awesome.

Does anyone else have the album and what are their thoughts?

Cheers

I haven't got his album but I heard most of the song while in a music store a couple weeks ago and the songs I heard I liked.

It would be pretty hard to emulate the feats of Slippery When Wet and New Jersey over and over again. They are two of the best albums of the 80's with some of th ebest rock songs of all time.

I thought These Days, Crush and Bounce were mediocre but the newest album is a step up from those three but still a bit behind Slippery, New Jersey and Keep the Faith.

I prefer his new album, its not so hard rock as his others. I love it, but i'll get sick of it cuz i play it so much. Does anyone else rekon one of his new songs is country inspired? I forgot what its called. I think it's Can't go home.

You've got to hand it to Bon Jovi though. He's seen a million faces, and he's rocked them all. That's a good effort.

I won't waste my valuable time on Bon Jovi. I loved them once but now I can't stand they're commercial adult contemporary crap.

It's all about longevity and they've rolled with the times. You couldn't seriously expect them to keep churning out Bad Medicine style songs forever could you?

Don't get me wrong, Slippery and New Jerey are by far their best albums but they'dbe caught in a time warp if they continued down the same road. The same can be said for a lot of other bands who have stood the test of time.

Metallica changed more than anyone from Justice to Black and they've gone full circle.

No I agree, they couldn't have gone on releasing 80s c**k rock but they didn't need to become crap either.

Neither did Metallica who are a LONG way from going full circle. St Anger is arguably their worst album yet. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'd have preferred them to have released Re-reload.

Heard it in full yesterday

On the whole it is a bit monotonous, but I think they've accepted they will never repeat the success of Slippery, so are just plodding along while they still have a market to sell to.

Still I like the album, and can see several tracks making their way to my iPod.

Agreed, they will never emulate that success again because the genres have been transcended and it's rare for bands to produce half a dozen top shelf albums and there is a lot more competition these days but I still like what I hear.

I nearly got run down by their Tour "mini" Bus when they were in Parra once in about '88 I think it was. Just a useless piece of info for ya's...
