He needs to stand up and over rule them on calls in play now because he's the half back anyway. He's had one good season starting at half back so I don't think he should be given it yet. Give it to Parker IMO.

Yeah I agree, but will he?

I think through natural succession he will get captaincy, to give it to him now would be a massive fail, there's no way he could truly lead that team with some of the figureheads that are in there.

During the Wigan v Huddersfield game they showed a promo with Parker opposing O'Laughlin (Wigan's captain).

He's just mixing it up to let the players know he hasn't made his mind up yet.

Hodges shall be named captain.

Interesting decision given all that Parker gives to the club, and Hodges can be guilty of laziness from time to time. Perhaps the additional responsibility of the role will bring out the best of him.

Thiaday was not the right choice, nor is this.

Not as if Brisbane have had shyte captains, some of the best.

But really, Hodges...

I'm happy with the decisions. My only concern was Hodges being so injury prone, but who knows, now that he's captain it may be a good luck token where he has his best year yet and plays most games.

Parker will be our forward leader, as he was been for the last several years.

For a club like Brisbane, where media is such a big issues, Hodges was probably the better pick over Parker who is a little two dimensional in front of the camera.

I think Thaiday has his chance, and probably missed it for reasons unknown. And we all know he played better last year AFTER being relieved of the captaincy.

Long term, it will now be between Hunt and McCullough I imagine.
