I want to be ground announce, not the job that Glenn Wheeler did, but the one that says all the stuff over the PA... Ladies and gentleman there are no changes to your Big League Program for tonights clash between your LG Sharks and the Manly Sea Eagles, running through the line-ups.. And all that, i reckon i can do it mad, i know all the sayings lol..

No no no no no

I'm sure you'd do a great job Craigshark, but Darren is a legend. He's been doing it for years. And while Killick was a goose and while Wheeler was dressed in a leotard, the Darren remained a champion of dignity and professionalism.

Oh for the good old days before we even had an on-field announcer. They just seem preoccupied with making fools of themselves.

Your not wrong there MTK. Theres nothing better then walking into Shark Park to the sound of Sir Darren announcing the premier league sides.... I think I better stop, I am getting too excited

They should at least get a sharks fan dont you think? Maybe ShireShark or junior wheeler should have a dig

NO! SS would tackle Greg Bird as he's running out of the tunnel and strangle him to death with his microphone cord! That wouldn't do much for morale! Just kidding, SS would be to drunk to do it anyway! :p

I assume thats "Jonesy" from Tripple M. He's meant to be a big Sharks fan, so I am ok with it. Gotta admit I didn't really like Wheeler as on field presenter, though he's not too bad on the radio.

I've transferred my focus on to Nutley and Bailey at the moment

But yes I would be too drunk to do it, especially after half time
I usually get a good reaction from the Sharks fans but I dont think the away teams would enjoy the abuse too much

I'd give it a go though! Good plan nulla

So you think Bird is getting better or Bails and Nutley are getting worse?

Bird hasnt been as bad as some others who should be a lot better for us

Bird's one on one defence has been good even if his ball play has a lot to be desired. He hasnt been AS bad as he was against, say, Canberra at Shark Park last year.

It pains me to say it, but Nutley and Bailey have been really bad, dropped balls and penalties galore. In the second game I found that I would be holding my breath when Phil Bailey has the ball and praying that he goes safely to ground with it. Exhale if he doesnt drop the pill.

Incidently I saw Greg Bird today at his favourite hang out, Nulla Nulla. Really, you'd think even a blow-in from Newcastle could do better than that 16 year old's joint!

In regards to music, dim the lights, pump up the volume and play Kashmir.

A fine idea. Sounds even better when there's a big crowd behind it -- as there would be at every Sharks game..

wgat was with all this rnb crap they played when tries were scored????

Not sure, but it was pretty ordinary stuff. I remember back in 1987 that used to play some sort of "Shark Attack" jingle when they scored which was pretty good.

Watched Fox and it was great to hear the team song at the end of the game - can't wait to hear it again after the Cowboys game

I thought he was ordinary. It's a very tough gig though. I just couldn't understand what he was saying.
