New Halves combination Rating

After week 1 how would you rate the Saints halves compared to the other halves combo's in the NRL.

I have Thurston/Morgan as No.1. I would possibly rate Moses/Norman as 2nd but Widdop/Hunt surely must be 3rd if not 2nd ahead of Moses/Norman. Cronk/Keary and Maloney/Cleary are the only other real standouts but the rest I think Saints have covered. Below in order for me as of now. At the end of the season I am sure will change:-

1. Thurston / Morgan
2. Widdop / Hunt
3. Moses / Norman (between these guys and our halves for number 2)
4. Cronk / Keary (Keary starting off under injury cloud so may struggle first couple of games)
5.Reynolds / Walker - Walker looked good in the Charity Shield and Reynolds on his day is awesome)
6. Seizer / Williams (WIlliams underrated and Siezer in form not bad)
7. Taylor / Elgey (Potential to be top 3 if they hit top form)
8.Maloney / Cleary (Only because the team is in a mess and I feel they will struggle soping with all the off field rubbish going on)
9.Reynolds / Brooks - (Suprise packet, these guys have potential to be real good or just average)
10. Moylan / Townsend (Moylen a better No.1 than 6)
11. Pearce / Watson - (Watson is good but suporsed Lam is not there)
11.Green / Johnston (Warriors and Stephen Kearney enough said)
12. Nikorema / MIlford ( THese guys will struggle imo from what they dished out last night)

The rest are pretty even and relatively new.

I am sure you guys will have different views.

Did you guys think that Widdop's no try off the kick from Hunt was offside. Looked pretty awesome and how happy was Widdop when he scored only to get called back. It was pretty tight to call offside but none the less these guys look like they may be providing some special moments this year fellas. Lets sit back and enjoy.

I don't mean to be an ass, but this list is a little all over the place. Reynolds and Brooks ahead of all those other guys?

- Sezer/Williams should be somewhere down the bottom. Don't know where you've got this idea that Sezer is in good form? He's been missing for two years. Williams hasn't played NRL in a long time either.
- Cronk and Keary ahead of Moses/Norman.
- Green/Johnson is a quality halves pairing and shouldn't be that low.
- Same with Moylan/Cleary... That should probably be the NSW halves.

Just to name a few.

I wouldn't trade either of our halves for any other half in the comp and I really mean that
I would take Cronk at halfback and Thurston at 5/8 if I could choose my pair of halves.

I do think that Hunt and Widdop are one of the top pairs of halves in the comp. Thurston and Morgan are the best pair for a club.

Both on the eve of retirement, wouldn't want them over what we have now.

On last night Hunt & Widdop will form a great combination. Where they rank is pie in the sky stuff at this stage seeing as we are only 1 game into the season. Potential top combo but lets see what develops and the comments after a loss.
