Doomed to fail, just like the XFL.

The NFL very much relies on college football for its popularity. College football is arguably bigger over there than the NFL and any football that has nothing to do with college is already at a disadvantage.

It might be a good thing since NFL Europe finished.
It will give the college players that don't make an NFL roster some where to play and be able to improve their skills, like Jake Delhomme or Curt Warner.

There's another one that has been talked about for a while, the AAFL. All the players are supposed to have completed 4 year degrees (pretty interesting for a pro league).
