The article above talks about the Newtown, Cronulla split and the fact we will have three grades next year which I am happy about. I have missed watching the Sharks play reserve grade and our young blokes can get a go now.

But who should be the Coach. Aaron Raper as the Flegg boys are doing so well, or someone else?

Any suggestions?

An ex Shark player with a head for coaching and strategy. For instance, Gavin Miller had a great football mind as a master playmaker. I wonder whether he'd be interested or whether he's quite content in Goulburn. From memory, he got into a captain coach thing in Goulburn when he retired from the Sharks. ET and Mitch Healy are others who spring to mind.

I think it will be Mitch Healy. He's currently assisting with flegg or it could be Aaron go's to PL and Mitch to flegg

Whatever happens Raper should move up PL and be in charge of them. With Flegg Mitch Healy would be awsome and should get the nod.

I dont mind bbsf's idea of Peach though. The young blokes would be in awe of him and respect him heaps. I reckon he would be very one on one with players too and get the best out of them.

If et was ever gonna make a serious go of coaching now would probably be the time with a spot opening up. Cant see him going for it though.

So if ET stopped his role as a defensive coach to take over PL would that make our FG defence better or worse?

Agreed!

My 3 picks would be: Nikau, Peach or ET(i just dont see him swapping his favourite past time for stress)

These are guys who all wore the Sharks colours with pride who could show our younger guys what pride is all about.

IMO shud be Gentle or Wilson. Gentle has great peoiple skills and communication skills and Wilson has a ton of knowledge. I think Aaron is more a coach who motivates not educates as is needed.
