New Pricing structure for Eels Home Games

In 2015, the Dyldam Parramatta Eels are introducing a new pricing structure for tickets to home games at Pirtek Stadium in Parramatta and ANZ Stadium in Sydney Olympic Park.

When tickets go on sale after Australia Day, fans will notice a number of changes to ticket pricing – the new pricing categories have been designed carefully to ensure that the Blue and Gold are supported by the biggest possible crowd at every home game.

For instance, matches on Monday night that traditionally can be difficult for fans to get to are now more affordable than ever. To make these savings possible, the ticket prices for our most popular matches have been raised slightly from 2014 to 2015.

Under the brand new ticketing structure, all home games during the season have been designated as three-star, two-star and one-star fixtures, with prices varying for each category of game.

Pre-purchased tickets for one-star games start from just $15 for an adult general admission ticket, while two-star games start from $20, and three-star general admission adult tickets are $30.

The changes mean that fans will notice a difference between ticket prices for our Round 1 blockbuster against the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles, for example, when compared with our Round 6 match against the Gold Coast Titans.

To let you lock in your plans for the season, tickets for all scheduled home games at Pirtek Stadium will be available for purchase via Ticketmaster before the season kicks off.

(Tickets for matches at ANZ Stadium will be available in the coming weeks, and tickets to matches from Round 20-26 will be available onces these fixtures have been scheduled by the NRL)

If it brings more fans in its a great idea.

Good pep talk for the opposition though ... "They think we're only a 1 star team!"

It isn't about the opposition, it's about the fans of the opposition. The out of Sydney teams will be a 1-star, whereas the: Dragons, Tigers, Bulldogs, Rabbitohs will more than likely be 3 stars. With Manly, Newcastle, Sharks being 2 stars.

Hi everyone

$30 for an adult GA ticket is the most you will pay for our 3 star fixtures. The fantastic news is that most games will be no more expensive than 2014 (star two games are the same price as last year) and our one star games will be as cheap as $15 for adults, $5 for kids and $30 for a family!

We recognize that not all opponents and time slots are as appealing so have updated our pricing to reflect that.

Can't wait to see a huge loud crowd out at Pirtek on 6 March. We showed the Sea Eagles last year how imposing a stadium full of Eels fans can be. Let's do it again!

Sat & Sunday arvo games at home. Where can I sign up?

Did we even have a Sunday game at home last year? Great to see they are back.

I'd say Homebush games will be cheaper because the bigger crowd spreads the cost.

Isn't there some sort of pay-to-play-here deal that stadium has to offer to get tenants as well? Receiving a handout makes it easy to have cheaper tickets.

Most of the seats are reserved for ghosts.........

I think the point is that the club loses money by turning fans away from a full Parra Stadium (those three star games) so those tickets are more expensive to compensate the club for lost revenue. If people want to be part of a full 20k crowd they should pay more than being part of a 50k crowd in an 80k stadium.

The club cares more about the 50k who do turn up than the thirty thousand empty seats. Fifty thousand at Homebush is still a bigger crowd than 20k at Pirtek.

50 > 20

Interesting initiative. I applaud the club for trying something new. Well done to the board, CEO, Larissa, membership dudes and whoever thought of this,

They wouldn't have to pay cash to every tenant if the economics of playing there stood on their own.

If a club needs the cash to survive then go for it. Just realise what they are selling out to get that cash.

It's a business ploy on the part of the stadium to encourage clubs to try something new.

I reckon the economics of 50k crowds stand up just fine.

Great idea by the club. Although it is dangerous ranking sides before the season has started as some one star games may end up being more attractive then 3 stars - depending on the oppositions performance.

Overall though it is a good initiative by the club.
