Next year as well interchange numbers drop, so use of players like Barba if coming off the bench need to be timed to perfection

I would be inclined to keep the forwards fresh. Barba can exploit other teams tiredness by playing 80.
Great to have back a local junior spare us Flanno, you let him go and he is coming back due to personal circumstances. You don't care a damn about local juniors. For all the Ennis hype, Lichaz has played every game for the Dogs and is improving. Peachey going ok too. What's changed with CT? He is getting picked in Firsts alongside a quality half. He could be still with us on less money for sure. When Ennis retires, you going to make a play for Lichaa?here ya go
MEMBER EXCLUSIVE: SHARKS SIGN TOWNSEND
Former Sharks junior star Chad Townsend has secured a release from the final year of his contract with the New Zealand Warriors and will return to the Cronulla Club in 2016 on a new two-year contract.
From the local Yarrawarrah Tigers Club, Townsend played through the Sharks junior representative system before debuting in the NRL during the 2011 season.
Townsend left for New Zealand at the end of 2013 and now returns to the Sharks having established himself as a regular member of the Warriors NRL side.
Sharks Coach Shane Flanagan is happy to announce the signing and was pleased to welcome Townsend back to the Sutherland Shire from next season.
“It will be good to have Chad back on deck next year,” he said.
“He left looking for greater opportunity and has matured over the past two seasons. He has been in career best form this year.
“It is also great to have one of our local juniors returning to the Club and we certainly look forward to having him back.”
A former Junior Kangaroos Captain in 2011, Townsend debuted in the NRL at the Sharks while still NYC eligible and would go on to play 19 First Grade games before departing for the Warriors. He also captained the Sharks NSW Cup side to a premiership victory in 2013.
Since joining the Warriors Townsend has played 34 NRL games for the Club, including all 15 matches to date during the 2015 season. The 24-year-old Townsend will join the Sharks for pre-season training prior to the start of the 2016 season.
Flanagan spoke to Sharks TV about the Townsend signing, his potential halves partnership with James Maloney and the role he envisages Jack Bird will play next year, with his interview available soon on the Sharks website.

Hearing Shaun Lane was another we punted. Get him too.
Peach a lost cause while Flanno coach. Plus Pennies looking decent long term.
Bulldogs offered Lichaa a ridiculous amount of money. The club wasn't willing to gamble that money on an unknown.
Ennis was the consolation, and has been one of our best performers.
Shaun Lane? He was a member of the Bulldogs NYC team and his junior club was in South Sydney District (South Eastern Seagulls).
Peachey was definitely a player we should have kept but was held back by one of the strongest backrows in the competition.
Ridiculous amount of money on an unknown. 2 year U20s Origin hooker! I admit to not being a fan of Lichaa . But let's see in 3 years time who got the best deal.
Us. We're only in Top 8 contention at all this year because Ennis has been carrying us in every game. Saw that on Sunday. Lichaa's just been ok. He might get better, but I don't understand at all where all the Lichaa hype comes from...does so many little things wrong for a first grade hooker.
Ennis will be huge for us next year with some decent halves, and is going to be massive for bringing Nu Brown through as a hooker.
I honestly can't believe how lucky we've been to land Ennis and get rid of Lichaa.
Some truth in the above. If Nu Brown doesn't come off we will have to spend a motza on an Innis replacement. Please no Brad Dietz for First Grade posts.
Really good player, some of hes reads are good but he is a bit small atm.Jayden Brailey is our long term prospect
Haha drunk posting. Nothing could go wrong.
I'm drunk.Masterchef or the voice?
wine stops me shivering
Connor Watson will be better than Nu Brown. Brailey is a midget and is too scared and too slow to make it in first grade. If you actually watch the 20's you would see most if not all are up against it. Doesn't matter anyway I have been involved in a number of clubs and Cronulla will never win a competition. The fact Robson still gets a game every week sums up the club in my opinion. Maybe Cb4 is drunk more often then not.
