New Sombrero in town

We thought the Roosters had the sombrero, but get ready the PNG team will top this.

Getting money given to them by Federal Government
Players to be potentially exempt from tax, seriously what a leg up this team has.
I can bet will be given an easy draw as well

They’ll need a leg-up, because Port Moresby is no place for the faint-hearted…
Can it be any worse then living in Dargon territory.

The NRL should not be giving them any help.

The proposed WA team where is there 600 million, from fed govt, this feels and looks so wrong on all accounts.
If PNG wanted in I am sure Temu would have sponsored them

The 60 million a year could have been so much better used inside the country.
But sending it outside for a football team it's a joke, shows how out of touch vlandys and Albo are

Do you understand soft diplomacy and the need for it?
I understand yes the govt is buying PNG off so they don't align with China.
Soft diplomacy is that you can't trust certain countries and you need to bribe them basically.
Some countries can be trusted and some cant.

At least the government should be upfront and say it we need to buy them off

I don't believe that they have tried hiding it. In fact I am sure that I have read that several times over the last few days.

Very up front.
There’s even a clause along the lines of “sign any agreement with China and we pull funding”.
