Reckon they struggle as the other new side will be in the year prior and snap up the good prospects. I expect the quality of games to drop by the time the 18th team comes in let alone 19 and 20.

I think one of the unseen benefits here, and it’s not being talked about, is the NRL’s relationship with the government. The NRL building very strong relationships with the government, doing them a massive favour by agreeing to this deal (even though it is a deal that is also very good financially for the NRL and gives the NRL a risk free expansion swing). You can be sure PVL will be pocketing this as a huge IOU from the government, and he’ll 100% cash in that IOU at some point - infact, I’d be very surprised if he hasn’t already, in the form of some guarantees for future stadium funding, that of course won’t be announced now or even in the near future.
Yeah very smart operator PVL. Would be surprised if there's not something coming back the NRL's way down the track. Just needs to make sure it's locked in cause the panty sniffer will be ancient history next year.

Frenzy.

In the history of the NRL has there even 30 players of NRL quality play in the NRL, let alone at the same time?

Will they be called the PNG Journeymen? That's mostly all they'll get.

Don't care about the politics of it. Hope they are sponsored by Temu, Ali-Express and DHS Gate
