New Sponsor = Samsung???

i was told by a leagues club member and season ticket holder recently that he "thought" that Samsung had been whispered as the new major sponsor for next season????

now that seems weird since they sponsor the Roosters currently???? but he thought he had heard that, although he wasn't 100% sure and that it could have bene some other electrical company starting with "S"???

that could be Sanyo, but they currently sponsor the Panthers, although another could be Sony??? they could be good

but my question is......if Samsung or Sony become our major sponsor, will the logo change again and if so, will the eel be in the shape of a TV or a stereo or something???

Yeah Samsung is the current sponsor of the Roosters. I heard that Mounties will be come your main sponsor next year, that wouldn't be bad at all! Then that would leave Parramatta looking for a new sleeve sponsor which wouldn't be any trouble.

well actually Mark.....ummmm......

look please don't go down this tired road with me Mark.........lets get one thing straight......i LOVE the Parramatta EELS ok!!!!

but some of the things that have gone on recently have severely tested my support of them, however, i could never imagine myself not supporting Parramatta, after all i came through the late 80's and early to mid 90's and to quote Eric Cartman......"things were pretty weak" during those times....

that said, i just think there are major problems at the club and i just hope better days are ahead for the club, because (again with Cartman), "things cannot get any weaker" for the eels........i hope

and i have never really taken to this logo, especially since it was mean't to have been shaped the way it is to match the Asics "a", which is a prime example of sponsors having too much say in the direction of a sporting team and club IMHO

and i like soem things about Parramatta......good football and happy, confident, skillful, competitive players....lets hope we see more of those things????

and i have never really taken to this logo, especially since it was mean't to have been shaped the way it is to match the Asics "a", which is a prime example of sponsors having too much say in the direction of a sporting team and club IMHO

I have been to numerous functions about the logo, and have spoken with the people who designed it and who approved it, Asics was never a consideration, but when you bring it up they say, "Hey how about that".

That shape as been around the club for a while, and while I can see what we are talking about, I think it is a little to conspiracy theory.
