New to NFL

Guys,

I am new to watching the NFL this year and am REALLY enjoying it.
I have watched the last 2 superbowls but this year alot more.

I am just a little stuck on choosing a team to support - after watching a fair few games this year I have taken a real liking to a few teams. Namely the Colts, Falcons and wanted Caronlina to win last year.

I think I will be a colts supporter - why not..

Just seeing why people in here support the teams they do????

I support the Dolphins.
They have a long and proud history. Up until this season they hadn't had a losing season in something like 15 years. Although they haven't won a Superbowl since '73-'74 season.
The '72 Dolphins stand out as being the only NFL team to have gone through an entire season complety undefeated.

Eagles. Goes back a way to the players , style & the passion in the stands.

If I was to pick a new team to follow it would probably be the Bengals or the Lions. Bengals because they are on the rise, no really 8), & Lions because of Harrington.

Never Colts, Ravens, the Pack or Cowgirls. Various reasons but essentially they are all ghey, over hyped teams! :lol: :lol: :lol:

I'm a proud Broncos fan because of the majestic John Elway, regarded by many as the best QB ever.

I can see why the Colts appeal to you and they are an exciting team watch, much like the Falcons. Just make sure you stick with one team and you'll be hooked for life.

Steer clear of Dallas, San Fran, Washingtonand Oakland (the worst). Nothing but heartbreak there my friend.

Back in the late 90s before I watched the NFL I was playing Madden and needed to pick a team and I picked Philly due to me liking ECW(a promotion based in Philly) then I started to watch a few games on foxtel and really became a fan in 2001 and have watched them go so close yet so far for the last 3 years . My favourite Eagle is Dawkins, my favourite non eagle was Owens and when he signed oooh happy days!

Im a Vikers fan because I was tryin to chat up a yank sheila one day at uni who was a vikings fan, she showed me a game of theirs and I got hooked.

Pittsburgh Steelers fan ever since the Immaculate Reception in 72, and their 4 SB's in 6 years that followed. Plus I like the hard-hitting blue collar image of the team, the town and their die-hard fans.

What is ECW?

A pro wrestling company that was pretty under ground at its time that is now only being shown to the world nearly 4 years after its last show. Its where Vince stole ideas from and turned the WWF into a big company again - it stands for Extreme Championship Wrestling

Another proud Broncos Fan... Because of the one and only John Elway! saw this special on him and the broncos in the Greenbay v Broncos Superbowl and that won my support!

Also the supporters seem cool, and i like colorado (planning to go there soon!)

Redskins. The first game of NFL I saw was about 8yrs or so ago, it was a Boys Skins game. The Skins lost (like everyone did against the Boys then) I have a thing for underdogs so it was them. They turned really bad so I slid to the Broncs due to Elway, and after my fav player Clinton Portis was traded there, I have gone back to them..... dont know if its a great idea #-o
