But every coach has been the "victim" of heavy losses. JL himself has been on the end of a few 60+ hidings in his time.

So tell me which team is better?

For mine...Penrith by a mile. Better fullback...sh*tload better halves. Better forwards and a better backline defensive wise. Lewis and Galea defended superbly, as did Youngquest and Hookey yesterday. So your telling me Penrith are f**ked because Elliot has f**k all to work with at Canberra because a sh*t administration can't buy decent players and rely on their juniors who are too young. It wasn't Elliots fault that the administration let their best halfback in Soward go.

Could it be that Canberra's backline has the defence of a wet lettuce leaf? Could it be that Canberra's fullback is a halfback actually and was positioned poorly in defence.
Could it be that Canberra only had one decent player on the field in Jason Smith and he is 35 and apart from that have absolutely no quality whatsoever?
Could it be that Canberra's side is so young that they have no idea what they are doing yet?

As far as i'm concerned Penrith have a heaps better team and attitude than Canberra. Canberra rely so heavily on Jason Smith that they can be nullified. Penrith have more weapons and less injuries. Easy as that.

Agree with you on all that BM, but one thing you forgot - ANDREW BLOODY JOHNS!! LOL!! It just happened to be one of those days where everything went beautifully for Newcastle and Canberra just couldn't take a trick. They would have done that to the best of sides with everything that went there way yesterday. However, with everyone saying Newcastle are a chance of winning the comp, they are only that as long as Johns stays healthy and that's A BIG IF.

I have to agree with Big Mick and Rhino.

When I first heard the score yesterday I was like well that's great! That's just what we need a coach who's team that let's 70 points be put on the board. Then I thought about it on the way home... and you can't really blame Matthew Elliott for the loss (well not soley... anyway). A coach can only do so much and after a certain point the players have to take responsibility... we are a different team with better players and for all we know Matthew could work wonders when he comes to Penrith.... only time will tell....

That being said I don't want to see Sir John go...... :(

I feel sorry for you. His '5 year plan' has been a complete failure, and we've been backpeddling quickly since '03. Has there been any mail as to why Lang got the boot?

Yes, curse them for not giving a damn about their against when they'd put seventy points on a team at home.

I'll take winning 70-32 every week over winning 13-12 every week. I know who'll finish at the top of the ladder based on that.

YOu Raiders fans always whinge about how Elliot never picks your young guys...you rave and rave about these young forwards who will win you the comp...who will THRIVE in the NRL..

So what does Elliot do.

He picks Zillman, Purtell, Milne, Howell, Carney, Raston and Jones. 7 guys that Raiders fans blow their load over. What happens....you get farkin hammered!. I think Elliot would be laughing cause it shows his clubs fans know f**k all!.

It also shows that your NOTHING with Schifcofske. You place way too much pressure on a guy about to be put on the pension...what else can a team do? Your team is full of nuffy's who have the defence of a wet lettuce leaf. You can't blame a coach for inept administration.

Nah I remember a kiwi supporter named Copa and thought you were him. It was an honest mistake.

I don't think Elliot is so grand...but I don't think he is as bad as what Raiders supporters think he is.

He finally puts the team you guys want in there and you get hammered....for mine I think thats hilarious cause it shows your juniors arn't "ALL THAT!"
