Congratulations to the Newtown Jets for a great day out at Henson Park last week for the North Sydney game.

I think that the people and volunteers who run the club have done a fanstatic job over the many years. It was great to see so many Newtown supporters at the game and there was a tremendous atmosphere at Henson.

Going back to Henson, is like going back in time. Old fashioned, grass roots, traditional rugby league. Supporters supporting their local team. This is what Rugby League is really about. None of this sterile, NRL crap.

All the Bears fans who went back to the Golden Barley, had a great time. I hope we didn't offend too many of the Jets supporters by showing off the Frank Hyde shield. There is no doubt the Bears supporters enjoyed getting their hands on the Frank Hyde shield.

Anyway, all the best for the rest of the year. Hopefully we will meet again on Grand Final day. Fingers crossed.

Gonna be cold and wet I reckon. It's raining here now, and I have given the 4.5 hr round trip in the pissing rain a miss today.

Norths are reclaiming a lot of old supporters and I don't think it will be long before we start seeing similarly big crowds at NSO. You're a credit to your club.
