Some names from left field.

Mick Crawley - Doing extremely well with the under 20's and had 5 years as assistant coach with the Cowboys.

Garth Brennan - Thought highly by Gould and was a NYC coach of the year.

Kevin Walters - Has plenty of experience under Bellamy but keeps just missing out. Maybe there is a message there but should be given some thought.

Hindsight is a beautiful thing. Being a former NYC player and halfback of the year, Henry was a very good pickup for the club. He was worth recruiting in the hope that he kicked on.

If anything, Bennett has spent most of his time clearing the deadwood that he personally resigned at the club. I'll see your Beau Henry, and raise you Wes Naiqama and that other useless centre that couldn't pass the ball to save his life.

Stone started coaching in 2009 when Smith had already done all the recruitment for the following season. He knew in early 2011 that he wouldn't be coach for the following year so didn't get the chance to recruit then. People seem to be basing Stone's inability to sign players based on one season.
Yep I forgot about those guys , Bennett did make some bad decisions didnt he

Let's not forget Junior Sau. It amazed me that he was re-signed. It's disappointing that Knights supporters could see what the outcome would be if we re-signed him, yet Super Coach Bennett couldn't. Maybe he thought he could teach him how to set up his winger, unlike any other coach could. I dunno.

He probably thought he could coach him to pass like he thought he could coach the stupid out of Kidley. Neither were gonna happen.

Thats actually a classic comment.

I thought he could but Kidley missed out the first couple of years, he may have done it otherwise.

Sau was just a little ball pig.

Blokes on the other forum reckon they heard that if Bennett leaves we have Garth Brennen lined up as FG coach.

Can I add another? After origin can we consider Matt Parish? I feel he has the goods. Very impressive with media as well. Knows his shit.

Stone should get first crack, he knows the players and he's not a stubborn dinosaur like Bennett, in terms of recruitment, we just got to hope Mulholland is as good as he's cracked up to be.

Stone should get the gig. Give the bloke a chance, he seems to be well liked by the players, and probably would not put a strain on the purse strings, we could do a lot worse.
