If the following players are still all out injured, hypothetically speaking, what team would you like to see run out:
NRL
Aaron Woods (knee), Round 7
Chris Lawrence (ankle), Round 7
Robbie Farah (groin), Round 7
Jack Buchanan (cheekbone), Round 7
Blake Ayshford (knee), Round 7/8
Marika Koroibete (foot), Round 7/8
Braith Anasta (groin), Round 10
Benji Marshall (toe), Round 9
Liam Fulton (quad), Return: Indefinite
Lote Tuqiri (arm). Return: Indefinite
Keith Galloway (pectoral): Indefinite
James Gavet (ankle) Return: Indefinite

Holden Cup
James Luff (Knee), Round 8
David Nofoaluma (knee) Round 10
Nathan Scarano (Shoulder), Round 9
Brad Soe (Shoulder), Round 10
Mason Farrell (Knee), Season
Jarrad Szuzdulo (Knee), Indefinite

VB NSW Cup
Trent Jennings (shoulder), indefinite
Jy Hitchox

1 - James Tedesco
2 - Taqele Naiyaravoro
3 - Tim Simona
4 - Joel Reddy
5 - Matt Utai
6 - Curtis Sironen
7 - Tim Moltzen
8 - Eddy Pettybourne
9 - Joel Luani
10 - Matt Bell
11 - Ben Murdoch-Masila
12 - Bodene Thompson
13 - Adam Blair

14 - Sitaleki Akauola
15 - Ava Seumanufagai
16 - Sauasao Sue
17 - Shaun Spence

I reckon Moltzen in reasonably good form would love being the halfback without Farah and Marshall there.

It's all over the shop, but what bloody option do we have?

If only Utai could tackle, he'd make a handy backrower

2 - Joel Reddy
3 - Tim Simona
4 - Curtis Sironen
5 - Matt Utai
6 - Tim Moltzen
7 - Jacob Miller

I would like to see this in the backline. Miller is more creative whereas Sironen and Moltzen are more hole runners imo

Is Meaney injured? I think he can play wing. I'd rather he have a go on the wing to cover things than Utai at this stage. We know Utai's weakness- contesting the high ball despite his other strengths, I think its too much of a risk. Meaney as a fullback / winger can contest the high ball.

I'd love to see Utai come on as a interchange for the backrow forwards and be an emergency backline replacement in needed. How bad is his tackling technique really? I thought his only major weakness was the highball?

Meaney is a fullback, centre, five eight. Never seen him on the wing. Wing is pretty specialist these days to throw just anyone out there. Must be someone from 20s or NSW Cup capable/promising other than Utai.

Fair enough, I thought he was a fullback / winger. Seems he cant catch a break from the football gods.

Moltzen has been much better than Miller however he might come back into it. No need to write him off yet. I doubt Potter is writing him off.

We got nothing to lose. Lets just throw the young blokes in and discover somebody.
I'm sick of the shuffling of the squad, its Sheens all over again.

It is tough for Potter though. Im pretty sure hed rather be settled on a 17 week in week out then be absolutely hammered by injuries like we are.

Theres no way to get combinations or plays happening at the moment.

Anybody know if our squad had the whole week off or did we train?

Come on, is it really that bad?

Im pretty sure hed rather be settled on a 17 week in week out
and for the most part he has been settled.

Moltzen: he has stuck by him.
Utai: He gave him a go first and he didn't work out - he has settled on Reddy.
Lawrence & Ayshford: settled and that also means he hasn't moved them to 5/8 etc. OK Ayshford has moved to the wing during a game but that's life.
Koroibete: settled in on the wing until he was hurt, Potter then selected on Tedesco.
Benji: settled until hurt, looks like Siro will be there until Benji comes back and that in turn places plenty of pressure on Benji going forward, if he wants to stay at 5/8 as Siro could possibly move there.
Miller: he gave him a go first and he didn't work out - he then gave Anasta a go.
We have to wait for Tuesday to see what happens next.

So really the backs have not been to bad. The 1, 3 & 4 Potter has stood by.

In the forwards, I think the problem will be going forward, around SOO time when Farah and Woods might not back up. Thompson will return next week and I think most would agree he provides more than Anasta does in the backrow.

I think he has to move Blair to prop, the other forwards do his share of the work anyway but at least if he moves to prop it allows Thompson and Fulton, to easily move into the 17.

In regards to the guys who are flagged as being hurt, many people will simply say that Farah and Woods are on the list just so they didn't have to play this weekend, they are both already in the NSW SOO team.

Lawrence, Buchanan, Ayshford and Koroibete being available next week, will no doubt mean 2 positional changes. Moltzen to 7 and Tedesco to 1. It's not throwing the young ones in but it provides stability until Marshall returns.
